If Thor has a weakness as a film it was the fight scenes. The first was to dark and to fast. The Destroyer wasn't a really fight.

But I did not like the adventures of country hick and tiny lady part.

The movie spent way too much time making fish out of water jokes, which while individually they were funny, to me broke the tone of the beginning and end if the movie.
my only other real problem with thor is that the movie's super powerful artifact thingy is also blue and rectangular and I had just watched captain america before I first saw it

Cowboys versus aliens to me is a film, that when I see it, I am going to have to give it a fair amount of leeway.
It's a period piece, sci fi action movie.
There are a lot if concepts in there which makes it a hard thing to do right.

the first promo material/footage of it reeked of WB going "Oh hey Iron Man was pretty successful wasn't it?". I mean everything looked like it.
