Yeah but, firstly he was in the earthly plane as Thor, but without his powers. So not Donald Blake (who I am not a big fan of either, but regardless).

The beginning and end was how I wanted to see Thor. All mystical jazz. Not cursing round town with the windows down.

The movie spent way too much time making fish out of water jokes, which while individually they were funny, to me broke the tone of the beginning and end if the movie.

plus, having not actually watched the movie, it looked like the Cowboys get their asses kicked by the aliens and the only dude that can really do any damage is Daniel Craig since he has that doohicky strapped to his wrist

Cowboys versus aliens to me is a film, that when I see it, I am going to have to give it a fair amount of leeway.

It's a period piece, sci fi action movie.

There are a lot if concepts in there which makes it a hard thing to do right.
