Sneak Attack, Shapechange, and Druids

I am running a 3.5/Pathfinder game, and one of my players want to multiclass a Druid/Rogue.

One of the concerns that I have is how to handle his shapechanging and Sneak Attack damage.

*If he takes the shape of something with multiple attacks (a Panther 4/attacks) and sneak attacks a full attack round, does/would he get the damage bonus on all 4 attacks?

What penalties would some less sneaky animals impose? Seems kinda OP'd for a Big and Burly bear retaining his full level in sneak to me at least.

I was under the impression you could only add Sneak Attack damage to one attack, once per round. With 4 attacks that would not be so much of a problem. I don't have my Pathfinder book on me, but I think that is the case.

As for penalties? Sure. If he is a bear, he is going to be much easier to spot (unless he is a polar bear on snow, for instance.) That, I believe, is mostly up to you and your comfort zone.

So with a little research, a leopard has: a Bite (d6+3) and 2 claws (d3+1), and the "Pounce" attack that gives it an additional 2 rake attacks (d3+1) if it charges.

That means, I think, a full pounce attack would be: D6+3, D3+1x4, if it is a sneak attack, is that an additional 5d6 or 1d6.

The scailing on that can get out of hand as the Sneak Attack goes up in level, and I'd want to nip it now instead of then.

I can't seem to find it anywhere in the 3.5 book on how many attacks get the Sneak Attack bonus. What do rogues do with multiple attacks a round at higher levels?

They normally get sneak attack on all of the attacks that qualify.

It really isn't as bad as you're making it out to be, though. Leopards are probably the best thing you could pick for this example, but, even then, they're the definition of a glass cannon. 15 AC and 19 HP reads "Kill me as a standard action" at level 6, which is the earliest level this can occur.

    i'm dumb

I will use this dumb post for a real question:

I have heard of pathfinder, but have little experience. How is it different from 3.5? Is it an entirely different setting?

It is, but most importantly it has streamlined a lot of the rules and done some excellent balancing of the main core classes. Just don't use any of the sub-classes (like the Summoner Synthesist) as it is horrifically broken.

None of the new/altered rules change the fact that it's pretty much 3.5, with all the baggage that it implies. If you liked 3.5, you will like Pathfinder. If you didn't, it's probably best to pass on Pathfinder.

There is a published setting for it, though. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but you could do a lot worse.
