Indeed, I didn't even know he was the guy you were claiming for actually. I wonder what you'd do with a province in the middle of france anyway. I guess I'll just have to actually put my plan into motion
I didn't, I was just going to kill your council off to hurt your stats, hope you didn't notice. Mostly because you had already bought all the mercs except one so there's nothing to spend it on
Oh shit, did I miss things? AT&T is the Britta of internet providers, I crapped out at October 22, whatever year we were finishing.

Krakow was invading for Brabrant, I killed the guy who had the claim by accident. Aegis declared independence and usurped a duchy. Pollo is trying to claim Gelre.
Also apparently despite both of my kingdoms being Agnatic-Cognatic Primogeniture... one is eventually going to my grandson, the other to my granddaughter... unless I switch my primary title to Germany to... recalculate it I guess?
I saw the invasions, but not the assassination, OK.

Well it wasn't really that consequential in the long run because I can end those wars at any time by declaring independence. I was hoping to drain Sicily's cash a bit more first though. Aegis does have to go independent now though
Yes, it largely depends on where those troops are deployed vs how stupidly the AI uses them. I do hate how the Emperor decided to grab 2/3 of my forces on day 1 though

In my test playthrough the AI's been splitting its forces rather severely. It also likes to sit a 12k force in an 8k supply province and bleed them out for over a year.
At least it's a better strategy than a 30-40k army getting eaten away by attrition. Sicily was also sitting an over-supply-limit army on one province; those were mercs though, so I doubt he cares

I'm never going to run out of cash so you might as well just declare independence.
So I got this game and am trying out the single player. Its interesting for sure, but I can't help but feel overwhelmed with everything that's going on. The tutorials are... lacking, to say the least. Any good beginner's guides? Tips on choosing a county for beginners? Things in the game that maybe I can ignore while I get my bearings? I get the feeling that the best way to learn this game is to just dive in and go for it, but I'd like a more structured approach. Once I get my bearings, maybe I'll join in on some of this multiplayer goodness going on here.
Also, anybody playing this over multiple monitors? I'd love to run this game across my 1920*1080 screen and onto my 1280*1024 screen and look at an enormous map of Europe.

This thread is for organizing multiplayer games. CK II is discussed in the Paradox strategy games thread here.
That being said, if you want to be able to grow quickly but face military action/threat, Apulia (Southern Italy) is a good start. They can move to a Kingdom and never run out of Muslims to fight. If you want to start out with some military action then quickly attain a position of power, go with William the Bastard. That war is pretty easily won. The eastern edge of the HRE has a lot of interesting starting positions because it's an edge of religions too, which means it's a lot easier to start wars. Start as a powerful Duchy/Kingdom (say Bohemia) in the HRE if you want to scheme against a liege, or start just outside if you don't (Poland/Hungary).

I could play Saturday, but may be somewhat distracted by the Final Four.

About the only time I could make work this weekend would be in a window between about 6pm-9pm on Saturday. Got both lunch plans and a party in the evening, but I could probabyl squeeze a session in between the two.

Oh phew, I hopped on vent after just getting back from symphony tonight and thought I missed it. Weekend should be fine I think, though it's up to everything when we can schedule.
OK, I should be here for Tuesday night, I think. If I don't show up, I'm somewhere around Toledo, but the current plan is to be home well before that.
