I thought it was going to be a gotcha momment.....
and going to admit he was just a miserable man and his behaviour was to hide that fact..
but instead we got two weeks of him making fun of his terapist

nothing subjective about it
I'm pretty much dead on the money when it comes to liking / not liking webcomics, it's like a gift
if you like any of those webcomics you're just not reading webcomics the right way and you should probably give up on them altogether
Hahaaaa
No.
no, he's pretty much right
sorry bro
Noooooooope.
we're going to have to take your webcomics away from you
later on you'll agree that this was for your own good
Webcomic FASCISTS
try to remain calm
I got through almost the entire first year!
one girl genius, one CAD, one megatokyo, starting from year one

helps you build up a tolerance
i looked over Rolo's list and it checks out
he's right, sorry
I feel like I should take this opportunity to remind everybody that my problems with Girl Genius are largely inflated for the sake of hyperbolic humor.
edit: oh damnit I swear to god it was a quadruple post when I made this one. Now I am the fool.
I haven't read that in so long, I took a break from it awhile back, and then I never got back in because he updates every damn day and I couldn't remember where I'd left off.
offensively lazy art or terrible joke writing
licd is self aggrandizing sexist bullshit for example
morally offensive

especially webcomics
Seeing the perfect speech bubbles and the html coded navigation tags just makes it feel all anachronistic
Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.
wh-which ones are you arguing FOR dude
"We don't," said the Controller. "We prefer to do things comfortably."
"But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real dan-
ger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin."
"In fact," said Mustapha Mond, "you're claiming the right to be un-
happy."
"All right then," said the Savage defiantly, "I'm claiming the right to be
unhappy."
"Not to mention the right to grow old and ugly and impotent; the right
to have syphilis and cancer; the right to have too little to eat; the right
to be lousy; the right to live in constant apprehension of what may
happen to-morrow; the right to catch typhoid; the right to be tortured
by unspeakable pains of every kind." There was a long silence.
"I claim them all," said the Savage at last.
Mustapha Mond shrugged his shoulders. "You're welcome," he said.
ridiculously bad storylines even by MY standards, unlikeable self-insert characters, drawn hideously, etc etc
on the other hand if moj wasnt so amazingly hiddy it wouldnt be HORRIBLE
still bad but guilty pleasure acceptable
Fari enough.
CAD - Uninteresting copy/paste art, terrible punchlines, one dimensional cutout characters, and the author is an unrepentant plagiarist and professional shitheel.
GU Comics - Boring panels, terrible art, and the jokes are seldom worth the investment of time.
Cyanide and Happiness - Hit and miss (emphasis on miss), not to mention lazy and unremarkable, focusing on shock humor over anything of any real merit.
Dominic Deegan - Not so much terrible as mediocre, but it's very cookie cutter, and the art is unremarkable when it isn't bad.
MoJ - The author has no idea how anatomy works, and the characters' motivations make absolutely no fucking sense.
Doghouse Diaries - Lazy, uninteresting, and tries way too hard to be cleverly acerbic.
funnywebcomic - Shitty on a consistent basis, and Cameron Davis has made it abundantly clear by this point that he has no interest in improving it in any way.
Sinfest - When Tatsuya Ishida isn't making some horribly offensive and boneheaded statement, he's busy making nonsensical jokes about a cast of characters that nobody gives a shit about.
Archime - More mediocre than terrible, although the characters are awful by-and-large.
LICD - Misogynistic, racist, and written by a man who acts like a complete asshole on a consistent basis. For a good example, read the arc where Rayne - AKA Ryan Sohmer's Mary Sue self insert character - "befriends" a lesbian coworker, and spends the span of the next several strips making horribly offensive stereotypical jokes at the expense of said lesbian character, who's little more than a one-dimensional character prop.
I never read Brave New World.
i seriously would like to see how some of the authors of these terrible webcomics function in society
Fair enough. The Dominic Deegan thing I get too, although I might try getting back into it, if I can ever remember where I left off, if only for the sake of curiosity at this point.
But art or non-art ranks incredibly low on my webcomic-judgement criteria. My litmus test on if a webcomic is bad is basically this: does the webcomic prompt the webcomic thread to launch into a political discussion and/or other unamusing unpleasantness of piling hate on a person or people (deserved or otherwise)? If yes, don't let it in the door. If it gets in, I sneak out the side door and go find something else to do until it gets bored and leaves.
I can deal with goofy, poorly-written, poorly-drawn comics. They Photoshop into entertainments. I can't work with the other material.
As a writer, however, I find LICD to be incredibly offensive to the art of literature.
sabre you're a good dude
you could just use a jerkcity for that like a civilized person
