I've never understood the appeal of pineapple on pizza. It just seems so inconvenient.
Actually I guess I've never understood the appeal of mixing hot savory with fruit in general.
Well yeah, I'd imagine that it's probably hard to understand the appeal of many things that you don't care for yourself. That doesn't make it a mystery.
Also I generally prefer a pizza with a thin crust that uses fewer, high quality ingredients that work really well together than a pizza that uses a shitload of toppings.

I bought my dad a pizza oven for christmas and I was cooking on it the day. I made a couple of prawn, basil and garlic sauce pizzas on a pesto base and a harissa, spiced lamb and fetta pizza. They were delicious, if I don't say so myself
I've only had one once. It was in Chicago, at one of "those places you gotta go if you want a real deep-dish". I was very unimpressed. Maybe it was an off-day.
