I have seen Zergs lose appoximately 90% of games where they build ultralisks.

    ultras bad unit :(

So, DRG made broods and actually won. Weird

Old snipes would have been helpful there.

Game 5 he went 3OC and lost to a Roach Bane all-in. That is the exact opposite of 1 basing v an eco Zerg.

so, I've been looking at builds for project CHEESE

don't worry guys, I'm not gonna go too crazy here, it's just kind of a fun experiment for now to practice an aspect of play that I don't do for a week or so. If my win rate drops super hard, I'll go back to my super passive get 3 bases, then roach/infestor play

    ZvT "Eco Bust"

    Early Bust ZvZ

for ZvP, I can't decide if I want to do a destiny style Infestor/Ling 2base timing attack (I <3 infestors, they're so good)

or if I want to try: 2 base burrowed roaches which seems gimmicky, but I have lots of good success with roaches in ZvP so I think it'd be okay even if he has, like, stuff that sees detection

makes sense for him to want broods.

No way gumiho has had time to practice late game against zerg without snipe.

Did anyone watch the D9D about Ret's style of ZvP? Basically, huge roach pressure off 3 base to kill a greedy toss that tries to tech too hard/expand too hard, which is what i've been trying to emulate in my play, cept instead of hydras I throw in burrow + burrow movement instead to ignore FFs. If they survive, get infestors/Spire depending on their tech and expand + go hive.

Its been working pretty well so far, but could someone outline the advantages of going Stephano style roach/ling instead? I hate being caught behind the metagame, but I don't understand the big reasons to play that style instead.

    Cheers.

The main difference is speed and gas usage. ling/roach is better for two pronged attacks and constant pressure, requires low gas, can produce off more hatcheries. Roach/hydra is better for a straight assault, but you can't use hydras to reinforce or cause they're too slow-- requires way more gas.

I watch GSL while I work. Often with the window minimized, treating it like a radio broadcast.

Looks good, but most of the time I don't know if I want to replay an engagement until after the engagement.

Still, I like that husky is going to be showing off some custom games. We need some more fun ones here in PA.

Were any of the DRG/Gumiho games interesting in terms of TvZ builds?

I'm trying to find a sweet replay (youtube) of an epic match. Pref. no longer than 30m. I want to show a friend who is getting into sc2. I want to show him how awesome spectating can be. Preferably one with some super awesome big battle micro and announcers cause they add to the games so much. Last Year MLG vods work too as I have access to those.

I'd more interested in something like

-Two players open their normal way
    -Save
-One goes (for example) roaches, the other goes robo
-"OK so that worked well against roaches, what else could you/I have done there?"
-Load, one goes muta, the other stays robo
-"I could see the difference at x:xx so I saved there, lets go from there and I think I should..."

Would take out a lot of the dead time in practice and make it easy to focus on specific issues

This custom map is actually really cool, I was hoping that something like this would be made for awhile now. It's great for practice games where you want to focus on a certain aspect of your play or on a specific point in the game. For instance, if you want to practice your baneling micro in a ZvZ, you could save right before you get into a baneling war off 2 bases and go over the scenario again and again until you can control your banelings well.

It'd be nice to be able to practice ZvP without the 8 minutes of droning part

Game 2 was interesting in the "how is this game still happening" sense.

Alright, cookies are in the mail.
Apparently it was cheaper to send them to Canada than it was to send to statesians, but that's mainly due to the fact that I only had one shoebox lying around at home. I'll be sure to go shoe shopping before the next time I do cookie shipments.

Haha well, that sentence is actually a lie. I think I know women who have as many heels as I own shoes, and when I buy shoes it's cuz my old ones died

What about creating a really simple custom game where you start with the buildings and drones you have at 8:00 and/or other key timings?

For 4-player maps you could even squeeze in two sets of ZvP pairs cross-map for different timings.

the first two were worth it, definitely don't watch the last 2 gumiho fails in the same way both times doing the same thing.
