Don't buy anything yet! Pretty much everything 2K is 50% off right now. This is just like the summer/winter sales. Everything is partially discounted with the chance of being a daily super discount. Wait until Sunday afternoon/Monday morning.
Civ 5 is 2K, correct? It's 50% off right now. I wonder if it'll get it's own day.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Civilization franchise day.
Yeah, Borderlands is great fun with other people. I found it so-so by myself. I've only played with 1 other person (we have a regular Sunday game going), but even just that is so much fun.
Both of these things. I've been wanting Prototype for a while now, but it's price point still isn't enough for me.
Then again, I still have a ton of untouched games that my ADD hasn't LETS GO RIDE BIKES.

Civ V and DLC getting an extra sale would be great, since we've got some people lately playing multiplayer games, and everyone having all the DLC would be nice.
Wow, even at 50% off, all the DLC comes to almost €19 for me, although it's closer to €15 since I got some of it already. Never realised how much extra stuff they'd put out already.

I could be in for BioShock at $5, and Mafia at $2.50. I'd be holding off on BioShock 2 till the Summer Sale, pending on if I liked BioShock 1. Still , nice weekend sale.
Considering that a Bioshock daily is likely, some questions:
-do they support controllers?
-is it a huge pain in the ass to run the pc versions? I heard the first had securom and the second gfwl :v:
I've been intending to just get them on 360 for some time, and if they really are that much trouble on pc, I might just use that $10 to grab sims 3 while it's still on sale.
Who here doesn't have Borderlands? Anoffday? I saw that it's in AfroJ and Warlock's wishlists too.
I always hesitate to pull the trigger on it because I hear its only good in multi and that getting a game going in Multi is a bastard of an effort. Lots of people enjoy it though.

The first is fine, and both work with controllers
but
For me personally Bioshock II is buggier and less stable than Fallout 3 and New Vegas combined.

What? Borderlands is good, period. In multi it's absolutely amazing, although it helps if it's with people you know and can smack talk with (although what games doesn't benefit from good friends?).
If I buy Borderlands is there anyone to play with me? Like new guys since my level will obviously be so low.
I had it for PS3 at one point, but always had to go solo since none of my friends had it.
I haven't done the dlc yet so I would be fine with starting up a new character for a fresh play-through. Add me on steam if your interested (if your not on the list already:) .. if you are just drop me a msg.).
Ha, yeah. You're already on my list strider.
Don't feel bad. I had to look.
How many people does it support in co op?
edit: wtf? Do you guys see that evil smiley?

It's up to 4 players.
If I own Borderlands and the DLC already, and buy a GOTY 4 pack, will it assign one of the four to me even though I already own the game and DLC but not technically GOTY?
Lol, ya, my Friends List went from like 0 to 50 during the christmas sale and while 50 is nothing compared to ppl who have it maxed out I still loose track of who is on it if I'm not sitting at the computer with steam running. Try to strike up a short convo with new ppl who get added now though: ) If manage to actually catch them when they are online:) Coop in BL is 4 players.
Evil smiley? The large grin?

Does this Borderlands sale mean I'll finally have people to play with and a reason to install and play it? I got gifted it a while ago by Iolo or another PAer and have yet to give it a go.

BioShock 2 doesn't work with the controller. They actively went against it because it was 'a PC game'. No idea what they meant but I kow I had to use one of those third party controller programs to get my 360 pad to work with it. Silly stuff really.
@Big Isy How did that work for you? I have been putting off playing BioShock 2 even though I have it installed for some reason.
I prefer FPS with KBAM but for some reason I fell like I want to play it with my gamepad.

Oh man, I know Bioshock is going to go on sale. I just know it. I've beaten it 3 times on the 360, but don't own it and it would be a nice addition to my Steam family, and a chance to play it with nicer graphics.
I pledged a 5:1 ratio of games beat/games purchased. I'm not violating anything if I plunk down $5.00 for a game I've already beaten, right?

Borderlands is a great game single player. It is an amazing game with three friends.
Yatzhee says Borderlands is a single player game because FUCK YOU.
Yeah, I stopped listening to Yatzhee.
Yatzhee doesn't do multiplayer. And he murders all games anyway.
Most games. These days he seems to be a bit more even in his critiquing, and whilst he'll still castigate mercilessly, he actually does praise good games more now.
I was NOT expecting him to like Minecraft though. That came out of freaking nowhere as far as I was concerned.

4th day could be The Darkness 2, but I doubt it, since it's only been out for a month.

Now that the coupons have expired you pull a Prototype sale.
I am not buying anything from you, hopefully.

Yeah, I've played multiplayer maybe twice (and it didn't work right either time).
But still have almost 200 hours in the game. And I'm playing it more right now. It's an unhealthy addiction.

Yeah, it's almost like strategy games have you commanding battles but not fighting. :P
