It's pretty obvious that it's being developed by Ready At Dawn (developers of Daxter and made up of former Naughty Dog and Blizzard employees) as their logo is down the bottom of the teaser.

Do they say any where it's a direct port of the first game? Because I didn't see it, but it's not like I've held a physical copy of that booklet in my hands.

I mean look at Dragon Quest IX, port of Dragon Quest VII right? Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror? Well that's a port of Syphon Filter: Omega Strain, right?
Seriously though, don't be stupid. Was Daxter a port? No and neither will this game. They've been developing it since they finished Daxter early last year and we know that it's running on the Daxter engine. It's an original game in the series.

Edit: Now with any hostility eliminated with olololz gay jokes, I can talk about something serious! I'm glad to see the PSP getting more interesting games, though it remains to be seen whether GoW for the PSP will actually be good per se. Even so, the PSP needs good titles. Baaadly.

god of war is a bland action game with extremely talented artists.

Seriously, if the DS was able to run a portable port of GoW1, (which we don't even know this is), and such a game were announced, there would be absolutely no naysayers.
"Teh Graphx are teh sucks1" "they don't use the touch screen at all" "DS is for the n00bs" "Sony to buy Nintendo in 5 years" "Sony to get enough money to buy a DS in 5 years"
I don't see how that can be dismissed at all.
We know almost nothing about this game. What is there to talk about? With the DS and Wii, we might be able to bullshit for a few pages about how it might take advantage of the wiimote and touchscreen.
This is awesome, assuming it is as good as the console versions. But not many people here have PSP's, so you can see why they're not too thrilled and that they'd rather just have a GoW 2.5 than GoW PSP.
Duel-wielding wii remotes would define an entire new level of "flailing about". No TV is safe.
That is kind of circular logic though. Not many people have psps because there aren't many good games for the system. But when good games are announced, people complain?
I'd like to assume that this is mostly coming from people that can't justify $200 on a system for a handful of games. Sure, some can, and some will when each new game comes out. Hell, I might if the list of games that were worth buying for retail amounts was over 15. That isn't the case, and they aren't moving forward much with "just more ports".
Maybe if they dropped the price on the system along with releasing the decent games, they'd sell more. There is a reason nintendo sells more DS & Wiis, and I'm willing to bet price is a big factor. Look at the ps3. Psp is overpriced for what it is/can do, especially considering the game selection.

I want them to announce a new handheld that will be released in two years so that Nintendo might decide to make a DS II and so that Sony would drop the price.
