There is a surprising lack of April fooling on the parts of the internet I frequent. Has anyone else found some particularly amusing hoaxes? I think Blizzard had some nonsense, but they always do.
If the best you can come up with against someone who's patently ignorant is to yell back at him, "Yeah? Well there's BOOKS, and they say you're WRONG!"
Then honestly you're not coming out of this looking great either.

I'm finding the reddit timeline pretty amusing. But then again, I am easily amused.
Please consider the environment before printing this post.
Not strictly an Internet thing, but one of my old teachers did a report on a new App for iPhone called StreetEar. Supposedly the app could tap into other phones' bluetooth connection and you could listen to their conversation without them knowing it.
To me it was pretty convincing and seemingly plausible. I even used it as a talking point for a larger discussion concerning privacy in modern society. Needless to say, it turned out to be an April's Fool.

I really hate catblock. I run adblock so I don't see stupid shit all over webpages.
Catblock was cool at first, adorable kittens everywhere. But like a real cat that soon turned to a major inconvenience.
I've also noticed it being very quiet. Slashdot in the past hasn't had any true stories on this day- or at least thats what it seemed like. I had to actively look around for some, when in past years I've had to fend them off a bit, and be super careful about what I read.
Goldman Sachs involved in the sex trafficking of underage girls.
Not sure if this one's a joke or not, though.
Where would the joke be here?
The real money is in the boys. You know "Live boy, dead girl".

Reading the article is very creepy since I feel like it isn't a April Fools. It's not really a funny story, and it seems the link to trafficking is more accidental than anything.

I...don't know. It just seemed so outrageous and it was just posted today. I thought at first it was something like "you know all the other abuses Goldman Sachs has been involved in? Well here's one that's so outrageous that it has to be a joke."
But now I'm really getting the sense it's not. And now I'm regretting bringing it up to begin with.
You know what, it's probably best if we just edit the link out. The article's on the huffington post, but the link inside that article is probably not something you want to follow.

They've announced that CatBlock will be a feature on the paid version.

Also, I got a chuckle out of this:

Anyone want to beta read a paranormal mystery novella? Here's your chance.

Just hearing Shepard's voice instantly gave it away as an Harry Partridge production. He did something similar with The Watchmen.
I would watch the hell out of this show.

Similar and vastly superior to this one.
