edi being a sexbot was pretty awful. reifying a previously disembodied ai is a cool idea tho, just wouldve been nice if she'd gone into, i dunno, a less ridiculous platform. maybe one of the big mechs from me2, ymir squadmate best squadmate.

If I remember correctly the Miranda camel toe was an unintentional byproduct of the way the animation rig merged the two legs, just creating a kind of seam because Miranda's thighs are thicker than the standard Mass Effect female model.
Well, I remember on my first time through ME2, on Miranda's loyalty mission I was scoped in on my SR, and Miranda decided to walk over and stand in front of me mid-battle.
From then on, I have always seen it, because it cannot be unseen.

Not entirely true for ME's fanbase, I believe BioWare has always had a higher share of women playing their games because of the RPG and love aspects. I know personally my wife picked it up for the romance options.

Ashley's breasts weren't super huge. You'd have a case based on Samara's outfit, or Jacks outfit in ME 2, but Ashley isn't exactly like swinging around quadruple g breasts. Not every lady in the military is flat chested.

EDI's design is one of my favorite things about the game, not gonna lie.
This super-advanced Reaper-based AI with a holoprojection that already sort of looks like female genitalia is given a robot body in a universe where there is absolutely no gender connotations for any synthetic life forms whatsoever. Nothing looks male or female.
So what does EDI do?
She dolls herself up in a 1940s-era art deco sexy robot lady from pulp magazine covers, and then makes an outfit that shows off sexual characteristics in a way no other character in the franchise does

Taking feedback (constructive praise and criticism alike) aren't bad things.
Using the extremely devoted and unpleasable detractors to base your design decisions off of, however, is problematic.
Not saying they did that here, just that while I agree with the perils of listening to either fringe, it's not a bad thing to play to your strengths and learn from your weaknesses, which requires some input to figure out what those are.
Speaking of which, at this point I kind of expect some of Bioware's best work on the finale of their next game, presumably Dragon Age 3? I have faith they're not going to let this clusterfuck happen again, doubly so on their next big release.
