Reposting from end of dead chat thread:

There is a charge on my credit card from ACen weekend for $33.00 to one "TAI HOOKER" listed under "Other Services".

Man I didn't think I had gotten that drunk.
It's actually the name of a shirt shop, I'm pretty sure, as I made a $33 purchase for a messenger bag that weekend.

I am trying hard to get into Skyrim, but it is challenging.

After the well scripted awesomesauce that was Mass Effect 1-3, I am finding the sandbox a little overwhelming.

I found it easier to get into than Oblivion. I really enjoyed the world. But like all games in the series I got lost and bored after about 30 hours.

I don't mind the sandbox so much as the fact that you can screw yourself with the wrong build.

I have beaten ALL the elder scrolls games, multiple times.

Skyrim, despite being beautiful and awesome, has just caught me at a bad time.

I might even go back to dragon age!

I love DA:O and really enjoyed DA2. So that doesn't seem like a bad thing. DA:A was pretty good as well.

I just checked, I was way off. It was Season 1 DVD and that is actually all the artwork (it just wraps around the case). I wish he did more. :)

that doesn't seem like it's particularly the case

i mean i said destruction magic isn't great later on, but it's usable

you have to work at it

but since skyrim has much looser level scaling it's not like oblivion where you'd gain a level and just be like

    shiiiiiiit

It's one of those things I often don't enjoy because it's effects'd to death. But when it's done fairly naturally and it's lush and layered I sometimes really dig it.

    I just

the acapella group on our campus was super popular. people loved that shit! buncha white dudes standing there and making swishy noises while waving their hands in front of their mouths.

i did improv and we were a fractionally as popular. we were still able to fill a hall with like 400 people (which is fucking enormous for improv) but they got crowds that big for like 'oh hey guys we're singin on the lawn in a week you should come'

I dated someone once who I'm pretty sure unironically listened to Van Canto. Like. I can't watch and/or listen to them without collapsing into tearful laughter. Their existence is the biggest troll.

i like when singers pretend to be instruments

like they're doing the 1812 overture and they're singing the percussion and stuff

    that's great

a capella versions of popular music are basically mortifying

the best a capella i've ever heard was a quartet of females singing "for good". no instrumentation, no effects, just four excellent and clear voices. i came.
