Ah yes ofcourse, I forgot about the squishies.
Also, the secondary battery exactly the same as the primary, just got shorter range.

The other solution to this problem is probably to wait 1 turn, collosinate and then use the devour ability on the rolling tank. But that sounds like a lot of work for very little reward.

    Options:

    - Spend 1power to open a channel with any radar contact.

    - Spend 1 power to move forward 1 space or to the right 1 space.

    - Spend 1 power to disintegrate the low performance vehicle, converting it into Alloy Sheets & Engine Components.

    - Spend 1 power to open fire on the Tractor Horde with the Primary Battery (You may fire up to 8 rounds total, at the cost of 1 power each*)

    - Spend 1 power to open fire on the Tractor Horde with the missile bay (You may fire up to 4 missiles total, at the cost of 1 power each)

    - Deploy a security team in the low performance vehicle (moves 1 space/turn) to investigate Steiner Petroleum or investigate Kincaid Rail

    - Deploy any number of security teams to clean-up the Molten Uranium (significant risk of casualties)

That sure is a lot of molten uranium. Guess we are going to make some more?

How many Ghetties constitute a horde? Given past patterns shooting one should take out the rest.

Goddamn, how big are those storage tanks? They sure seems easy to hit.
Also, guess a horde would be 4 tanks. Let's wait with shooting at them, maybe they'll clean up some of the uranium trying to get to us.
Also, waiting a turn allows us to fill our capacitor so we can transform and shoot them with the plasma cannon instead. We can save some ammo that way.

Ordinarily, I'd agree with you about holding off for the moment.
Ordinarily, we don't have missiles though.

  • wiltingwilting I had fun once and it was awful Registered User regular
We aren't exactly swimming in missiles, I would prefer we used a DU if we do shoot. Also, I don't get why we would want to move forward, putting us closer to the potential range of the Ghetties.

To get close enough to the goo to begin cleanup operations?

Also, I kinda like the streak of kindness you added to the Eater wilting. I'm gonna try to roll with it for one.

Yeah I was pleased with what Ender did with that. Hopefully more character development opportunities will present themselves in the future. Maybe its kindness. Maybe the Eater just wants its human allies operating efficiently.

Is that really so wise snickety? All that molten uranium would surely give them burnt feet if they try to access steiner right now.

I'm making the assumption that the complex/building covers that whole block by the intersection, so the could nip in there without going paddling. If that is not the case, then..well they can do some planning or a powerpoint presentation on the safest way to wade in molten uranium or something.

We've got a van of "volunteers" on it's way. We might have some red shirts that can fit them.
It's possible the Ghetties might try to clean up some of the uranium, I mean they have tanks full of the stuff, right? Seems likely they have some way of gathering more.

There is a fire in the Missile Bay. If it is not extinguished, there is a chance it will spread to other areas and damage them.

There is a coolant leak. If it is not sealed, there is a chance it will inflict crew casualties.

    Options:

    - Spend 1power to open a channel with any radar contact.

    - Spend 1 power to move forward 1 space.

    - Spend 1 power to disintegrate the low performance vehicle, converting it into Alloy Sheets & Engine Components.

    - Spent 1 power to open fire with the primary battery (You may fire up to 6 rounds total, at the cost of 1 power each)

    - Spent [X] power to open fire with the Fusion Plasma Cannon. The more energy you pay, the more damage the cannon's beam will inflict. Does not use ammunition.

    - Deploy Technical Teams to extinguish the fire in the Missile Bay. There is a low risk of casualties.

    - Deploy Technical Team to seal the coolant leak. There is a significant risk of casualties.

    - Assign a Technical Team to repair the Juggernaut Wetware's armor. Consumes 10 Alloy Sheets.

You drained your cap firing that plasma cannon last turn, and since all Technical Teams were assigned to special duties, no power was generated. Your options this turn are going to be limited as a result.

Also, I've been debating whether I should just flat-out state this, but:

The game has been balanced around the idea that allied assets you join-up with be positioned in front of your tank, to soak-up damage. They're intended to be fodder. :P

If you guys keep the tank squads behind you, I'm not sure you'll last very long.

    This is exciting :3
We've kinda taken a lot of damage and I think we need to do everything we can to replenish lost materiel and crew. Next round we fire at the remaining horde and force the civilian vehicles to replenish us under gunpoint.

Hold on, if we devour one friendly tank then the rest will be shooting us in the rear at point blank. Also we could be using them as cannon fodder, as advised.

There are only two friendly tanks around us, both who are in our rear and looking rather delicious. The civilians are probably not armed very well.

I believe there are 5 friendly tanks behind us, in two units. TIM only consumed one out of a formation at a time.

    Wilting is correct.

EDIT: On the other hand, Tiphareth is potentially correct. If you Devoured the full strength Rosenberg squadron, there would only be 2 tanks left in the weakened squadron to shoot at you.

I agree, focus on the coolant leak for now. The other stuff is bad, but isn't likely to cause further damage before we can get it repaired.
