Well, damn. But as cool as playing a game based on it would be, all I really want is an English version with the Brazilian cover.
The game does sound like something GOG would pick up eventually though.
So I know I'm nine kinds of late to this party, but man, Terraria. I just gifted it to a friend yesterday and had to brute force us to stop playing at midnight because I had to get up early today. I haven't played Minecraft, but I am amazed by the conceptual brilliance of this genre, and just the mere fact that it is a new genre.
Also, for some reason I genuinely, unironically love that the only multiplayer mode is a straight up IP connection. It truly felt good to set up my router to forward the right ports, and then play knowing that I'm independent of any server structure outside of the Internet itself (except Steam's authentication, of course).
Hey, I said I was sorry. And outside of lurking and ninja-gifting (the latter of which, at least, is something I occasionally do), I don't think there's any forum activity that wouldn't cancel out the implication of being invisible.

Hah. :P
I gotta say, I couldn't get into Terraria at all. I was all excited for it, jumped in with some buddies aaand... found the whole thing totally obtuse. The menus are like the polar opposite of user-friendly. Coming off of Minecraft, with it's oh so simple and logical progression of building probably made it even worse for me. That Community episode with a fictional game sure made it look fun though.
I need rulings on what to play first, I wanna knock some stuff out before the sale hits, I like these all equally, what should I put time into first?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Metro 2033, Lone Survivor, PAA3, Amnesia...
Oh brilliant

I am completely regretting that I never rma'd my graphics card.

The Steam Starter Pack is tempting me to get back into Tribes, but I have already unlocked some of the items it unlocks. Is it like buying a pack of games on Steam, where the doubles are just lost to the ether?

I am betting its a code you redeem in game, so lost to the ether if you redeem. I have a majority of the items the starter offers, but I also got all that for 10$ already near the start of the game, so meh. But yeah, tribes is pretty awesome.
I'm really not a fan of the RTS genre or Warhammer, but thank goodness Drake talked me into trying out the Dawn of War II demo. I fell madly in love after playing it for an hour and wound up buying the complete pack with both expansions and all the DLC. It is an absolute blast.

ooh
That'd be nice, if player A could unlock an item and then transfer it to player B's account.
would give me something to spend my 300,000 exp on.
edit: yeah, as far as I know, the doubles disappear.
Well, I'm glad the sale hasn't started now... We had a terrible storm blow through a few hours ago, and have no power. Best I can tell we may not have power for days at this rate.
If you are X hours west of DC then that same storm absolutely walloped us last night. Good thing (?) I'd already lost my Magic draft by the time the power went out. Stupid Goldnight Redeemer.
Now if you'll excuse me, I need to cut open a path to the kitchen door before the temp breaks 100 again.
Enter for whatever you want, screw being guilty. Must be an active member of the PA forums. Must not already own the game. Must eat pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. (Pics of pancake eating via PM welcome)
Can do...strawberry and banana in and on the pancakes, whipped cream and (after the pic) some syrup...
Binary Domain is going on sale for 10 dollars on Amazon during the July sale. It activates on Steam, and I really doubt it will go lower than that. That game bombed so hard.
Damn. Want Space Marine, but worried about the sale. Damn being a teacher, all not having a job in the summer. Had a second interview for a bookstore today though, so hopefully I'll get hired/paid before the steam sale and I can be a SPECE MARINE!
I also beat LIMBO today. Not bad. Definitely some of the best atmosphere I've ever seen, though I thought there was a story of some sort? I didn't get any story other than "OH GOD WHY AM I IN THIS FOREST WHY IS EVERYTHING TRYING TO KILL ME AHHHH"
Good few hours though!
edit: Also, @Lord_Snot , check your PMs! Sent that victoria Steam code over, since giving away the key for steam to someone else is probably frowned upon if you're using the other key?
edit 2: When are we thinking Steam sale? Mid july? 4th of july?
Thanks for the key man, that's top class in action.
Damn, would have completely missed Space Marine being on sale if not for this thread. I assumed 'Dawn of War franchise sale' meant you know...ONLY the dawn of war games.
Thanks thread!

I had pancakes too this morning. I'd have taken a photo if I'd known there was some kind of contest.
I made them with a little yeast to help out the baking powder and brown sugar over white. And then I slathered them in ginger conserve.
And I did all of this without a view to winning prices. I simply did it out of hunger.

The bad part is, its actually a fairly competent and fun game. Not great, but good at what it does and with a pretty decent cast.

Would there happen to be anyone who doesn't have Super Meat Boy, Lone Survivor, & Braid? I've got a key left from the humble bundle. Just let me know if anyone doesn't have these games and would like them and I'll send the key your way.

Yeah, about 6-8 hours west of there. Luckily nothing happened to our house. A few branches down and such. They're saying 5-7 days before all power is back on. At least my DS is charged up.
Chances ARMA II hits the Steam sale? Guess I can wait and see, but I've really wanted to try out that zombie mod Day Z.
I'll be shocked if it isn't a daily. Even if it isn't, it'll probably be 50% off or so. Generally, in these big sales, most games get a flat 25-50% off (excluding new releases).

I'm in Southern NJ and we lost power from the storm too. I was using my 3DS as a flashlight last night and my netbook to charge my phone. Was so glad I got the extended battery on my 3DS. Playing Layton in the dark.
Have any of you guys played LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars?
I was a little confused 'cause I thought it was part of the Complete Saga, but evidently, it's not.
Was thinking about getting it/waiting for the steam sales and hoping for a daily since it's only $20 and Harry Potter Years 5-7 is still $48.

Aw man I forgot to take pictures of my pancakes. My 5 year old woke me up wanting pancakes so I made some with chocolate chips in them and then ate them and went to sleep on the couch haha. Curse my terrible memory!

I get power back on
I get my laptop back from repairs
I reinstall Steam and restore my library

Metro 2033 would be a delicious slice of pre-Sale, post-apocalyptic pie.
That looks like a contradiction.
