So the darling of the webcomics literati, Andrew Hussie's Homestuck (www.mspaintadventures.com) is currently at the start of a sizeable hiatus if reports prove accurate
Thus now would be the perfect time for new readers to envelop themselves in the ever more convoluted tendrils of the beast to which we are all enthralled.

We're going to have probably a week or so hiatus, and then we'll get a flash update prior to the 11th. Then Hussie leaves for the SDCC for a week. At some point afterwards we'll get the flash for the end of Act 6 Act 3. So that's two updates right there this month, and they're both going to be substantial flash updates given how they're wrapping up a few loose ends.
Then Hussie will take a break in August to work on some business-end stuff like Book 3 and probably some other merch. He did this last year concurrently with the EOA5 hiatus, and that was only about two weeks or so?
So, it's more like a month altogether.
