So these are odd to me compared to other ingrown hairs.
Back in Jaunary I slipped on some ice and fell on my chest which then caused me to bounce and land back on my chin. It was a little scuffed up and sore but that was about it.
In April I noticed my chin still felt a bit tender and there a bump. I checked it out and with a light squeeze 3 thick short hairs shot out. I concluded it may have a refugees from that fall. The thing I noticed about the hairs is that they were almost like broken pieces of mechanical pencil lead. They didn't have the white root ends and were thicker than my normal facial hair.
Now here in July I got another one in the same spot but hurt a lot more. Akin to the day of the first fall. It had a small white puss spot on it this morning and I pierced it which let loose mostly blood and a sting of pain. Another little hair stub came out.
So is this hair pore fucked now and I'll get a mean bump every couple months? Is there something I can do about it?
Do you have a beard by any chance? Years ago I got a couple ingrown hairs like this. Thought it was the pimple from hell at first, since in high school my acne wasn't exactly minor, but turned out to be a very short thick stump of hair hard enough to poke through paper. It turned out to be the end result of assuming a beard was just something you just grew and required no special maintenance. Improved beard care and I haven't gotten one in at least ten years.

definitely don't stick too many things in your face before you talk to some kind of doctor
