Wii Sports and The Cover Project (Jewel Case Insert)
If you want a cover for a DVD case, download one of the other 12 available covers. I like the one 6th or 7th from the bottom, personally.
What you need to do download this by clicking the link for the cover you want. Then if you scroll down, click on the Download link for that cover.
You will download a 300 dpi version of the cover to your hdd.
Then you'll need a printing program that recognizes 300 dpi images. Such programs included Photoshop (any vsn), Paint Shop Pro, or GIMP. GIMP is a freeware, open source image editor.
Open it in the image editor, tell the program to print landscape, and make sure it's printing at 300 dpi without 'adjusting' the image size. Then print.
Regular bright white printer paper works great, no need for glossy paper. Matte paper will work, as long as it's thin and light and not 'heavy weight' matte paper.
Lastly, printing on Legal size paper is preferable, as most covers extend to the edges of regular Letter paper. If you have a borderless printer, you'll be fine on Letter for the most part. Otherwise, Legal size will make things easier.
I really need to buy some fucking paper big enough for DVD cases.
Legal size does the job great. Unfortunately, I don't think they make it with the right kind of texture that would make it completely perfect for the job.
An issue of Nintendo Power a couple of months ago came with a bunch of Wii Sports stickers that looked like they were supposed to be for making your own case. The only thing is, it's a little tough to find white DVD cases. I know you can order them from the Nintendo store for a couple of bucks, though. I guess you could always use black, but it seems wrong.

Here's what I did --
I had some extra blank, empty, black DVD cases laying around.
I don't have many DVDs, but my friend does. I looked through his collection, and sure enough, he had a couple of movie DVDs with white cases. So he let me switch the inserts and DVDs of the cases so that his movie was in the black case with its original cover/inserts, and I had a blank white case.
So.. just ask your friends if you can do the same, if you need 1 white case for Wii Sports. There's actually quite a few DVD movies in white cases out there.
Or you can buy Wii Game Disc cases from Nintendo's online store for $1.50
I used glossy photo paper for my Wii Sports case, worked great.
Legal size?
Letter actually, with a borderless printer. If you look close, you can tell the label doesn't quite wrap all the way around the case, it's off by like 2 millimeters at best. It really isn't that noticeable though, especially with a white case.
Well, with Glossy, it depends on the brand. Some companies make their glossy paper really, really thick, and it makes bending the covers around the spine a little tough. But it is doable, if you'd really like to use glossy paper.
I know for a fact Toys R Us just throws out old clamshells (DVD cases with an insert for a game but never actually had any game inside it) when we don't get the games in anymore. That's how I got a white DVD case for Wii Sports--we got a hojillion Twilight Princess cases and didn't know what to do with them all.
I'm sure it can't hurt to ask, and it beats paying a couple of dollars for empty cases if some store is just going to throw them out anyway, right?

But size-wise, it's tops.
