i have not played a fighting game in a couple weeks because everyone is tits deep in this magical mexicanimation teenage schoolgirl horse shit
I'm sorta between jobs right now. So quite frankly, whenever you want.
And in the next week or two, I should be getting in my stuff for a new stick. At that point, I'll want to drill vsav and the like a lot (won't have a console so it's pretty much all vsav for me until i do)
I am watching the impending release of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 with both excitement and concern.
I keep watching all these videos and previews listing the ridiculous amount of stuff they're cramming in; over 50 characters, full customizations, power-ups, extra modes, etc.
And I'm wondering: what's the catch?
This looks like one of the most feature-filled fighting games I've seen in years, but this is also the same company that made Soul Calibur V, a purchase I regretted making this year due to its low volume of content, the borderline offensive story mode, and the fact that virtually no one is playing online. I know Tekken is handled with more importance, but I'm still expecting a "but" somewhere: will the online be shit? Will only a few characters actually be useful?
It also looks like if I want to get the best value, I have to pre-order the game through Gamestop. I'd be satisfied if that was the only downside to this whole thing, but still....have there been any complaints?

I've fought scrubby Chies who beat the fuck out of me because I am also kind of a scrub
but that probably doesn't count
I've fought a couple Narukamis who had his midscreen pressure game down like whoa
and I have fought one super-bananas Yosuke
he is everything I want to be

me neither!
gonna put that shit to the test at some point
also here's a silly but effective trick:
dash at opponent
evade, wind up behind them
2C their wiffed attack
ride the damage train to 5000 points of grown-ass man damage
this works best if you've already run up to them like an idiot once or twice
join the
anime club
oh also there's a game mechanic that makes it so you have to time that carefully
basically if you hit an enemy with an air unblockable, it's only unblockable if it's the first hit in a combo
so in the setup in the vid, you have to make sure you don't hit them until they're out of blockstun
of course I haven't tested that setup so it may be that you can't actually hit them before they're out of blockstun
Reminded me of one of my favorite characters...

Because I don't have enough fighting games to be bad at.
Always a good laugh.
Using an enhanced version of sc5's netcode. It's going to be good.
Justin isn't on the 5v5 because he's not SoCal native. Same reason pr_rog isn't on NorCal.

And the Japanese contingent, but they don't matter for the purpose of aftershock.
