I thought about that, but wanted the thread's name to be on topic.
don't worry, this is deusfaux
his bitching caused new comic threads to be dates only
I liked Link's appearance
cmon, you're better than one of those ppl that go "DISCUSSION OF ZELDA THREAD" (we already know it's a thread you doorknob, and that's where discussion takes place!)
meh, just trying to let others enjoy the surprise
They usually make crap. This is the only funny video of theirs I've seen.
You have obviously not seen their shen mue or RE4 videos
edit - or River City Ransom.
I have. They were all bad.
I loved the RE4 one.

Metal Gear Solid is great, too.
What's it like, living without a sense of humor?
Aaaaw, c'mon. The RE4 had some excellent comic timing.
Merchant: "Got alot of good things on sale, stranger!"
Guy: Whaddaya got?
Merchant: (long pause)..."things".
Humorless.
I almost didn't recognize Miyamoto because he didn't have that crazy smile on his face.

Yeah. This video is funny because of that.
But I have to agree with you and Renzo that their other videos aren't funny at all, and give gamers a bad name. You can admire the creativity of their costumes to some degree, but running around annoying other people who don't get the joke is just immature.
I listened to the first bit of their podcast, just to see how they roped Miyamoto into this, and I couldn't believe how whiney they are. They spent ages pointing out how this was their idea and that they deserve all the credit for it. Then they slagged off Miyamoto's keynote for not making any announcements (even though we all knew that would be the case, due to the stock sale that is underway in Japan).
The Paperboy one was brilliant. They had the crazy juggling guy and everything.
Oh, come now. Most people thought they wouldn't announce anything, but that was only true before they said Miyamoto was flying over to deliver the keynote. That sparked up ideas that "why would you fly the boss man over to not announce anything?"
But yeah, I found their podcast to be pretty annoying. And I know annoying podcasts, if there is anything I know.
Oh, and they re-dub an interview with the game's creator for pure gold.
I thought that it was pretty much established that they wouldn't make any announcements, because they were forbidden from doing so under Japanese financial regulations.
Nintendo asked the Japanese Government to sell their shares in Nintendo (in an attempt to increase stock liquidity). The Japanese Government sold them about a week before GDC. As a result of the sale, Nintendo were legally obliged to enter a "quiet period", where they don't make any major announcements. This "quiet period" lasts for several weeks.
So, Nintendo aren't legally allowed to make any announcements right now, so I'm not sure why anyone was expecting Miyamoto to do so.
This is pretty old it's been up for about a week.
