It's all about the brandistock on low grav servers. I'd feel the need to pick a vanguard, anyway, because of the 80s metal scream he does.

I've been playing this a decent amount recently and it's a pretty fun game. The learning curve was nonexistent for me even though I was awful at the mod, and half the time I'm usually near the top of score lists. I'm always looking to duel Arcadians and my forum name is the same as my steam name so hit me up.

Does anyone know the current population or where I can find the current population of Chivalry? From all the full servers all I can guess is "More than Red Orchestra 2". I like to know that sort of thing.

Looks like Chivalry peaked at just under 6000 while RO 2 had just over 2,500 at peak.

The best thing about new players is that they haven't learnt to respect the maul.

You can almost see them flinch in terror when it takes 90% of their health away or one shots their buddies.

I'm gonna have to look up some tips & tricks for the maul, I've tried using it and it is so slow with a normal range, that I find it very difficult to land attacks with.

I wish they'd add some sort of weapon weight system, where it would for example, make that if you try to parry a maul with a dagger you lose health or something.

Having it take more stamina could be interesting. Though it swing the game even more knight focused than usual.

Also the maul is tricky to use. In general you either want to ambush someone or be using it on a front line brawl where people can't afford to focus you. Also remember you can aim into your swing to swing faster due to changing your angle relative to your opposition. This can let you trade blows one for one often which will always be in your favour. Don't forget to use your stab either, it's very minor damage but is surprisingly quick and works well as a finisher for an opponent you've already hit or as an interrupt tool to allow you to back off to allies if you find yourself forced into a duel.
