Yeah, Inky is one of my favorite pony artists, and it seems like she doesn't want money, just an acknowledgment that they know that it's not their work, which I think is fair. Also apparently this has happened before.

there's a mild chance that we will get Scootaloo parents in tomorrow's episode, which may tick off anyone who is a little overly invested in the Scoota-orphan fanon. Similarly, 309 is likely to give some additional Apple family backstory possibly including that missing set of parents too.

There was a hasbro writer Q&A session in which they talked about star swirl openly and explained that he in on par with Merlin level wizardry and while he isn't dead he isn't a character they plan to introduce at the moment, but when the time comes he will show up at some point, but for now he isn't going to show up.
I could see Discord and Star swirl being allies but that leads down into head fandom theories. Discord is obviously coming back at some point this season. I would assume though that being star swirl is a bit short sighted.
