Heh, looking at the list of peril cards, there are two that could maybe kill me; as long as those aren't drawn I'll discard his plot which I felt was the most important thing to do. If I die, we can advance the one story marker he isn't working on currently and I can try again next round.

Discarding is equal to Playing, so you could've just done that but I just played it out of my hand.

Ok, so I arrive at Mount Gundabad, and then spend 3 favor to stop Sauron's dastardly plot!

Then one last card to move up to the Northern Wastes. Beravor gets shit done!

Well, you're pretty close to Near Harad, where you can not only complete your quest but also nix Sauron's other plot he has going. Plus, you can hit Denethor on the way. Of course, I guess that depends on whether you have the cards in your hand to make it; three hills and a desert in the way. There are monster tokens along the route, but hey, they might be blank!

2. Preparation

The Warg Rider Special means the first card will be no Str cost, if it's a Melee card, unless another card is placed as the first card played, which can happen due to Hero card texts.

Then, both just play their first card in Handtracker, do nothing else and I will resolve the first round's effects in the next post.

um, @stever, my warg rider special ability? if the bottom card on the combat stack is a melee card, it costs zero strength. warg rider should be at 0 spent strength.

FYI for hurting combatants.
You can declare yourself exhausted at any time.
I. E. - "I give up!"
You will not play any more cards from that point on but will have to endure the enemy's hits until he is exhausted.
This may mean you get defeated but you may be able to hold onto the cards you have in your hand, minus the hits you take.
Just a condition you may not have known about.
