    Season 1 I predicted they were in Purgatory. The showrunners flat-out said in an interview, "It's not Purgatory!" so I tried coming up with something else. Then I got bored and became an excuse to hang with my friends. Fast forward to the series finale. It was Purgatory. Dumb poops.

    Lost spoilers
    in the last season, two timeliness run concurrently. Viewers initially thought that the second time line was some sort of alternate reality or time travel thing. It wasn't. At the end, it's revealed that the alternate line is a purgatory where the characters were able to work out their problems with themselves and each other until they finally all realize it and move on, together, to the afterlife. It takes place after the events of the show after they have all died, whether due to old age or violent death or whatever.

    It's a really well done finale and am amazing character study show
