Skin tags, and the removal thereof

SeeksSeeks Registered User regular
So, I've got some skin tags. In the past, I've found the simplest way to get rid of them is to just use those small scissors to snip them off (after 'sterilization' of course), but that hurts and they tend to bleed a bit when I go that route.

I'm curious: How do other people usually handle this? I know there are 'wart removers' that people use, involving freezing the blemish off, etc., but all of those seem to take a long time and cost money, which I don't have.

I'm not a doctor...but in the past, I have used ice cubes to numb the hell out of it and twist and twist and twist, and eventually it comes off with little tearing on the skin.

I've found that icing it and then using a good pair of small nail clippers works well. Just don't try to use an old dull pair...

I use Daenris' method. I sterilize the nail clippers in alcohol first though.

Those sound quite a lot better than my method.

    Thanks for the tips.

For larger ones, dental floss works. Tie it off, tight as you can, at the root and wait about a week, it will fall right off.

I used sewing thread on one recently, and it only took 2 days. I mean I picked at it a bit and it was clearly dead skin, so I just pulled it off.

Edit: This method is completely painless
