[Lets Play!] Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together; Update 44 posted!
Holy shit, I've taken 654 screenshots. I'm going to put up another update today for the final part of chapter 1. Got the pictures, working on the rest now.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Turns out we get a 10th person this fight, so im going to field Jakarrd instead of nightslyr, turns out I didnt buy ice or shadow spells, so im going to wait until we get a rogue classmark to bring out nightslyr. Sorry Night
Noooooo....!
At least I'll be able to bring the stabs at some point.
Update 12: Where we're the Masterminds behind the Balmamusa Massacre.
LEONAR: All that is required of you is to plunge those hands deeper. Bloody them not for survival, but for your cause. If you cannot do that, you do not belong in this battle!
Leonar swings his sword at Sam now. Sam ain't got time for that shit though, and hops backwards safely.
[She rushes to Sam but is held back by Ravness.]
CATIUA: Sam, are you all right? Vyce, with us, quickly! Vyce? What are you waiting - No...!
[Vyce advances on his friends.]
And.. Vyce went flying past dickish asshole, and straight into CRAZY dickish asshole. New avatar for him now.
VYCE: If it's retribution you fear, fear not - they'll all be in their graves, thanking you for martyring them!
CATIUA: I don't believe what I am hearing! If this is a jest, it is in terrible humor!
VYCE: Quiet, Catiua! You've made a fool of me long enough.
VYCE: What ever gave you the right to command me!
LEONAR: I would see through any of his grace's decrees, as his loyal servant - no, as a loyal servant to our people.
RAVNESS: You'd call such bloodshed "service"? Since when have we used our kinsmen's lives as leverage? Our lord has betrayed us all. To think I was willing to give my life for such a man. What a fool I was.
LEONAR: I did not think you one to abdicate duty, Ravness. To break faith with lord and realm.
LEONAR: I always thought to find you at my side the day the Walister won their freedom. But if men of our own blood would stand against us, why should I expect more of you?
RAVNESS: Am I not Walister?
Oh, SNAP. Apparently Ravness's parents or grandparents were from Galgastan! Bringing someone's ancestors into this shit! Leonar ain't fuckin' around.
LEONAR: But the fault is mine. I should not have placed such faith in one of mingled blood!
RAVNESS: How dare you!
[Leonar turns to spy the Walister troops dressed in Galgastani garb.]
With a name like False Galgastani, who can't trust him?
FALSE GALGASTANI: Yet Ronwey in Almorica and his rabble have trampled upon that peace, and lifted their swords once again. We will not sit here and wait for death to visit us! We'll show them what it means to be Galgastani! Root out the Walister in town and butcher them like swine they are! Leave not one alive! To battle!
LEONAR: Vyce, to me! Leave this to the others. We take the town!
[Leonar and Vyce dash off to join the fake Galgastani troops.]
Thanks lightning flashes, ruining my pictures.
[Vyce turns and unleashes a crossbow bolt directly at Ravness. She falls.]
Crazy, Dickish, Now Racist, Asshole.
RAVNESS: Leonar...do not think you can escape...judgement for your deeds.
[She falls. Sam and Catiua have little time to mourn as the false Galgastani advance on the town.]
10 players fielded. Unfortunately, due to my own goddamn poor planning again, we can't field Nightslyr because he has no spells equipped. Instead we bring in Jakarrd. 3 Archers fielded means a shitton of xp for them at the end. Jak has no accuracy skills though, so his hit chance is goddamn atrocious.
Our objective is to clear out all the enemies this time, they don't have a set leader. Unfortunately they start at the top of the map, and we're far down on the bottom. We have to advance up some narrow stairways, fighting over each other for movement spaces, and take forever to get into actual combat with the people.
This is the 4th round. FOUR ROUNDS. Finally we get some damage on the goddamn board. I really hate these kinds of maps. Trying to usher units up the stairs means that sometimes the units with small ass movement ranges sometimes have to spend entire turns just waiting for the people further up to get out of the way. I very much prefer open fields, even if theres less cover to break LOS and stuff.
We finally get the main cluster of our group together and up the stairs. The good part of it taking some time to encounter the enemy is that Sam and Drokmir can both take turns gaining mana and enchanting weapons. Sam gives Khildith's weapon Divine damage, thats the plus 10 extra hit after his swing, and Drokmir gives Lightning to Canopus since he can actually reach the enemy with his bow.
PLA seems to get super focused by all the casters and archers. Luckily with the levels we've given him and armor he has he can take 3 or so hits from the enemies before he needs a heal that puts him back up to near max health.
And heres Jakarrd's first hit. This far into the game his accuracy without any skills is about 40%. It sucks, but for now its the best he can do. I'll be putting some accuracy skills into place as soon as he has the points for it, then we'll have triple archers. Maybe I should be changing Canopus back to Vartan and using the Crossbow as was suggested earlier.
With the huge cluster of enemies here its much easier to use indirect spells. Firestorm is hitting for a good amount of damage now. Fire Wizards are baller as hell. I want to try other spells out sometime now.
Erlec picks up our first tarot, and gains some +int for his troubles.
There is an asshole knight in the back that continually heals the people we attack. Its making it super annoying to finish anyone off unless we dedicate all of our attackers to it.
I sent Quarts around the outside of the building to avoid the huge clusterfuck that was the stairs. He takes some high ground and finishes off the enemy Rune Fencer.
And here is the Flavor Text for Firestorm. Snot invokes the goddess of fire to burn some motherfuckers.
Basil shows off his Recruit ability. It fails to work, but then Basils never been very persuasive. We'll have to work on it. I like to recruit enemy units just to strip them of their gear and kick them out.
Sam picks up some free Vit. An actual useful tarot is always a nice surprise.
Whoa, yeah. Look how hard Khildith.. gets hit.. by like.. the enemy.. Totally wasn't Canopus.. I mean Khildith and the enemy Warrior don't look alike.. standing near each other.. causing me to shoot Khildith in the face instead.. Next picture!
Basil heals the wounds Khildith suffered from Cano.. that.. Can of ass whooping the ENEMY threw at him.. yes...
This evil witch blew up Quarts, so Canopus wrecks her in two shots. You hear that Khildith? Canopus was totally busy fighting the enemy. This whole time. PROOF.
After chasing the last archer around a bit with Khildith, Canopus finally just gets tired of it and hits her with his full finishing move. Consumed all 200 tp but ended up doing 107 damage. Not too shabby. With that our battle is won!
With so many Archers they steal a huge part of the xp. Definitely going to have to change Canopus back and give him a crossbow. Not a huge loss, but I regret all the xp that he got for the bow. He'll also be out of a finishing move, which means none of our characters will have one.
Yeah Vyce, yell at us from way over there wussy. SAY THAT TO MY FACE. Thats the end of the map, and now we get an ending to the previous chapter, and an intro to Chapter 2.
Thats the end of Chapter 1. It was a pretty short chapter that set up a lot of the threads that will continue throughout the game. We'll be fighting everyone now, since we've chosen the Chaos path. Walister, Galgastani, Berkram, random beasts, anything in our path turns out to be against us.
There is a video here now. I've found a youtube of the actual video, but i'll also post the script to it below. The video is here and goes until 1m55s. Transcript below:
Three weeks have passed since the massacre at Balmamusa. The tragedy was as flint to fire the Walister, bringing them together as never before and inspiring to action those Galgastani who bore no love for Balbatos. Soon, the Galgastani had split into two camps, placing Heirophant Balbatos in a most precarious position. Balbatos assayed to silence the voices of dissent, but as cities began to fall to the Duke's Resistance, he was obliged to retreat to the safety of his keep in Coritanae. As Galgastan faltered, more joined the Walister Resistance. until the rebel ranks had grown to fully threefold their former number. It seemed only a matter of days before Balbatos would be brought ought before his own walls to answer for what he had done. As for Pavel, through the duke's scheming, he has been named a mastermind of the massacre, and a price put on his head. Resistance fighters and headhunters alike scour the highroads for him, while Pavel finds temporary solace in the port town of Asyton.
Pavel is SamLJackson's last name.
CATIUA: Sam, what if we left this place? Sailed far away and never looked back?
SAM: We've been through this - Father must be avenged! Besides, how could we leave things as they are? No, we stay and see this through. We owe it to those who died at Balmamusa.
[Canopus walks in.]
[He holds up a worn scroll.]
[Sam reads over the scroll.]
CATIUA: Salt in our wounds. We are criminals before all the world.
CANOPUS: Justice and war seldom keep company. In the heat of battle, all are criminal and all are innocent. Only later does the victor decide who is which. That's the way of the world.
CANOPUS: All the more reason to be on the winning side. Come, enough navel-gazing. We need to go.
CATIUA: Go? Where?
I didn't take this Screenshot because I thought it might be important. I took this screenshot so you can see that yes, those are really the fucking words they used.
SAM: Of course. Galgastan doesn't stand a chance of repelling the Resistance, not now.
CANOPUS: You touch it with a needle. Balbatos's days are numbered. I daresay Walister victory is in the air.
CATIUA: In which case we shall remain outlaws.
CANOPUS: All the more reason to be on our way. Something must be done.
CANOPUS: With the Walister massed elsewhere, Tynemouth will have but light defense. What better place to break through the line?
CATIUA: Of course! Lanselot will aid us, I am certain.
SAM: Then we move. There's naught more to be done in this wretched place.
So not only did the asshole Renway demand we slaughter the innocent, when we refused to do so he fucking sets us up as the bad guys? What a DICK. Luckily we can go explain it to Lanselot, I'm sure he'll believe us. Unless he really needs 30k goth. Or other people do. Or lots of people.
Our new map, and our new title. And thats it for this update!
I wanted to get this update out fast since I had my Vita in sleep mode with the previous choice up. Now I can use it to do other things again. Thanks for reading guys, and super thanks for voting. 20 People voting for the choice was more than I thought we'd get, hell its more than I thought regularly read the LP. So thanks again.

The more I think about it, the more I want a new Tactics Ogre game for the 3DS or/and vita. Due to fire emblem's success it could be a smart move to make a bit more adult* tactical rpg compared to fire emblem. Let the translation job be done by 8-4 and just try to keep some of the complexity of the law/chaos choices and all would be dandy.
You are doing a good job CorriganX, not only is this a good game and a great remake, but you put in a huge amount of work with uploading pictures, commenting and writing transcripts. You could have easily done a video lp, but chose the harder format. Thanks again.
I'm not writing the script, the script is Here and i'm just copying it and editing out the parts the pictures show. The dude who did that script put a LOT of work into it and I in no way want to take any kinds of credit from that. Could you imagine if I had to screenshot every single conversation bubble? Jesus christ.

You're still spending more time putting these posts together than you are actually playing the game. That's some dedication to your LP, right there. I doff my hat to you good sir.
I love you for actually showing us your friendly fire incident when the Chariot is right there the whole time.
Chariot is for babbies. I've yet to use it on this playthrough. 100% all natural baby.
Khildith totally deserves it anyways. Hes seen other people block 85% of the time, HE COULD LEARN SOMETHING MAYBE.
He is just blocking the attacks with his face. Nothing wrong with that, eventually nothing will phase him... Mostly due to him being dead, but hey gotta look at the positives!

Wooden SpoonGreat for SaucesRegistered Userregular
I think Khildith would argue that blocking is like using Chariot.
Speaking of squish I just got a ninja up to about enemy level and....how the fuck do I keep that guy alive? He does awesome damage with double attack, but most of the baddies can 2-shot him. Is he just going to suck until I can get parry and dodge?
Update 13: Where we kill everyo.. GODDAMNIT STOP FUCKING HEALING
So we finished up chapter 1, saw the intro to chapter 2, picked up a few consumables but theres no new weapons or armors for us. Lets head out of town and.. oh okay. Nope. When we try to leave the town and head to the next area we're shown a screen thats somewhat familiar.
10 Units still. Same as last time. We're slowly getting up to 12 units max fielded. We still need ninja classmarks for Nightslyr and a Dragoon Classmark for when we recruit Delzhand. For right now Jakarrd returns as our archer in training. Forgot to switch Canopus to Vartan last time, i'll try really hard to remember for next.
Hey whats up cute redhead, how you do.. oh you want to kill us. That can be problematic.
ARYCELLE: Oh, I'll have your head, but I am no headhunter. You'll pay in blood for what you did in Balmamusa!
SAM: You were in Balmamusa!? Please, you must hear me!
ARYCELLE: We are past talk. For Balmamusa! For my brother!
Aw. We gotta kill the redhead lady. Thats no good. Oh well, war isn't the time to find lost love. Love can't bloom on a battlefield. The 2nd image is half a round into the game, but we're close enough to show both armies. They're fielding a lot of healing. Two knights and a cleric, and the AI isn't afraid to use consumables whenever they want. We split Quarts, Snot, and Drok to the right while the rest go up the middle. If we tried to put everyone through the center theres a good chance they would stumble over each other, so we send a few of the smaller movement characters around to take out some ranged and the knight from the back.
SAM: We were there, I'll not deny it - but we did all we could to stop the slaughter!
ARYCELLE: Lies! I only pray you sold your loyalty for a worthy sum!
And then a few units later..
SAM: All the Duke's doing. Galgastan had no hand in it, though the duke wished it to appear so. Believe what you will, I speak the truth!
ARYCELLE: Have you no shame?
If we had fielded Donnalto there would apparently be a lot more conversation. I guess thats what we get for using PA people, less battlefield convos more familiar ass whoopings. I'll take it.
Drok makes it around back, and we start to focus on the Female Knight. Get her cleared out so she doesn't spend a few turns healing and basically being annoying. It doesn't work. We can't finish her off, she starts eating leaves and being healed. Ugh.
This is the beginning of the "Round of Hell" for Erlec. Gets focused by 2-3 archers and the melee guys. He has to get healed by Basil and Catiua just to keep him up. I don't know what he did, but apparently they didn't appreciate it.
Snot ruins random Archer on the right's day. Half her health gone in a single fireball. So good.
Oh look. ANNOYING GODDAMN CLERIC IS HEALING AGAIN. Wouldn't have guessed.
Oh okay, great plan now. We can't move up a square because theres a bush in the way. Khildith can't move out of the way anytime soon. We'll turn on Berserk, hit Khildith and the dude next to him, and it'll all be worth it.
Okay, Change of plans. PLA will just punch Khildith square in the jaw, guy we wanted to hit will just block. Fuck.
BUT HITTING KHILDITH MAKES HIM ANGRY. And he takes it out on the annoying female knight we attempted to focus at the start. Shes finally down. Just leaves us with 1 warrior far in the back, flying warrior in the middle of us, and a knight up near the house on the right. Then its just chasing down annoying ranged characters and finishing off Arycelle. We're almost done!
See, Khildith! We're keeping you alive. No worries. You might get beaten up, but tis just a flesh wound.
ARGH STUPID CLERIC. I hate you. I hate you I hate you. The female Knight we killed also had Rampart Aura, so we couldn't move past her and had to waste turns killing her off before we could get to the goddamn evil cleric in the back.
Ohh but shes dead now, and no goddamn aura to keep you safe from my righteous fury!
And... down. Woo!
Starting to get materials from killing people. I guess we're getting somewhat close to the crafting section.
Snot shows off his damage. The more he hits things the closer he gets to leveling up Augment flame. Man, Fire is so fun.
Arycelle has a counter attack, so everytime Quarts even shoots at her she hits him back for 10-11 damage. Its not super dangerous, but it adds up when she starts attacking on her own turn.
Man. Khildith is just having a bad day. Gets criticaled and knocked back by a counter attack. Even the girls are like 'Oh no keep away'. Not that thats unusual.
Eep. Poor Erlec takes a finishing move from Arycelle. Takes him from almost full to dead in a single shot. Whoops! But to be honest, I didnt even know they had flavor text. The more you know!
And Snot finishes her off. We had 1 more archer alive beside her, but I didn't really want to chase him down so I said fuck it and ended it. That cleric really annoyed me that fight.
ARYCELLE: It is done. Now kill me. Kill as you did in Balmamusa!
SAM: If you have lost the will to fight, leave. I will not give chase.
ARYCELLE: If I leave here now, I will only return to claim your life.
SAM: Then know I am bound for Tynemouth. If you would hunt me, hunt me there.
ARYCELLE: You're going to regret this.
She ports out, like Vyce did when he got the shit kicked out of him. I should probably stop talking shit about Vyce. With his crazy new portrait hes probably hiding under my bed or something, just waiting to strike out against all the people who called him names.
Woo! We won! I had 100% faith in you guys. Never doubted. Thats the first battle of chapter 2. Maybe next time we get to actually leave town? Who knows!
Yep. 3 archers is taking a lot of the xp. Time to switch Canopus back to Vartan with a crossbow! Thanks for reading guys.
Tune in next time for Birds with Crossbows! Maybe we get to see a different town! Khildith probably gets punched or shot or lit on fire by a teammate! Again! Intrigue! Exciting words! Exclamations!
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Protip of the Day: If an enemy berserker is stupid (they are) they will use berserk at the end of their turn. If they're also fielding counterattack (they are), it's often better to smack them and let them waste berserk on their counter attack, when it only does 1/4 damage.
Update 14: Where we learn that the plural of Octopus is "assholes".
Canopus is back to his original class, and rocking a crossbow. This gives him more movement than archers, so his wings are more useful. Thanks for the suggestion @Emzedoh I wouldn't have thought of it myself. We head to the next area on the map, the Rhea Boum Aqueduct. New place? New Battle.
Holy shit, what is it with enemies with beards where they just look goddamn ridiculous. If he keeps grinding his teeth like that hes going to have lifelong dental problems. Well. We're not really sure how long "lifelong" will be after this fight starts, but you know. Its the thought.
XAPAN: Not every day you chance on a mark worth 30,000 Goth!
XAPAN: Don't worry, little lass. You'll be spared. You alone. A man grows lonely so far from home, heh? Well, well, let's begin, shall we? Look sharp, boys! Let one go, it'll mean your purse!
Yep. Kill creepy pervy bearded dude. Gotcha. Can do.
This is what we're up against. Couple of the Umbra in the back. Those're the pig headed looking guys from a few updates back. Winged guys so they can get around easily. Couple lizard men, high hp and defense, but we're kinda used to them. If you look closely in the water, theres two pink bundles of tentacles. Those're octopi. I'll go into why I fucking hate fighting octopus in a little bit. Up near the middle top infront of the octopus hiding behind the torch you can notice a new enemy class.
Terror Knights look badass. Full armor, Menacing Names, usually using 2h weapons. They have some cool abilities. Terrify is a skill that causes an attack/defense reduction on your next attack, they get good auras, lots of debuffs. They also have some downsides too. They're remarkably slow in their heavy ass armor, they have a middle of the road movement range, and they dont do a LOT of damage for their slow speed. Not super high defenses, they rely on their debuffs on the enemies to make them last in fights. I used one last game, and while she was okay she never did anything to wow me. Now lets take a quick look at the Octopus units.
These fucking assholes. On land they're not too bad, in water they get access to super annoying fucking abilities. Black Mucus causes Breach and Water vulnerability, while Aqua bubble hits like a fucking truck. They have a shitton of health and defense. Basically fuck these guys. Ugh.
This is how far Basil can move at the start. This map is super cramped, and if you don't plan it out ahead of time its easy to get characters stuck where they're wasting turns not moving. If you get one of your melee units behind some of your casters it can be agony waiting turn after turn for a movement spot to clear up for them.
And this is why Octopus suck. Ugh. Look how little damage he takes and his massive health pool. Fuck these things.
At least we still have a heavy hitter that can put some damage on the board. I'm really loving having a Fire mage this game. Sooo much damage.
Terror Knight used his trademark skill. His next hit reduces Sam's Attack and Defense a good amount. It can be annoying but our guys are built pretty well, so nothing to be too scared of atm. Get it? Scared? Terrify? I crack myself up.
Khildith and PLA, our melee powerhouses, were able to do a pretty good amount of damage together with Snot. This octopus is almost dead, but hes taken about 3 rounds of 75% of our guys beating on him. I mean seriously, their defense and health is absurd for the amount of damage they can do if left alone to gain TP. Our focusing on this one early guarantees the other one will have enough TP to be a pain in the ass when it gets to us.
Drok finishes off the Terror Knight, and immediately moves to his corpse. Didn't want to take the chance that an enemy could snatch away the loot. We now have the classmarks to turn a unit into a terror knight. If anyone wants to have their unit's class changed let me know. If Basil wants his class changed, he can suck it up. Need the cleric.
Snot finishes off the first octopus after way too many rounds of beating on it. Now where did we leave the other one..
Oh. There it is. Having surprise sexy time with Erlec. Critical hits him for 75 damage on a regular attack. Yowch.
Oooh! Quarts is the first of our home grown heroes to reach level 2 with a weapon! Thats actually really impressive considering we didn't recruit him until after the necromancer. I guess the long range high damage of the bows hes been using has let him attack for almost every turn. For comparison, Khildith is at 72.9% 2h Swords, and PLA is at 83.9% Fist weapons. Yeesh. Still, we now have a finishing move on Quarts which will end up being super handy, I imagine.
And theres Aqua Bubble, hitting like a truck on a low health unit. Its got a huge range on it, too. These assholes are no joke.
One of the Umbra is a mage, and shows off the flavor text for Aquablast. I'm not sure if we've seen that one before, so I took a picture. Also they're not really pig faces in their closeups, but the units on the map definitely remind me of pig faces. Who knows!
Khildith got a bit beaten up due to poisons and chasing down the octopus so Erlec shows off his mad lobber skills throwing him healing herbs. Also is it just me or is the way the blocks aligned make it look like theres a crease in the middle of the screen? Weird. The things I notice when im updating at 7:30 in the morning.
Useful tarot for Sam, Avoid will help with tanking. It makes a unit harder to hit in combat.
More pictures of Snot blowing up Octopi. Ill be honest, I include more of these just because fuck those asshole tentacle having monstrosities.
Jakarrd's first kill! From all the way at the back! He actually lands 2 kill shots this update, I believe.
Look at the range and damage on this goddamn thing! Every octopus in this game can go fuck itself. Erlec is down but not out.
Being hit by lightning in water should kill every octopus in a 5 mile radius.
Yeah! Eat a dick octofucker. Have I mentioned fuck those guys?
Range on Revival stones is pretty lar.. wait. Theres range on revival stones? DID I GET FUCKERS KILLED IN THE NECROMANCER FIGHT FOR NO REASON?
Like Delzhand said before, the AI likes to attack, get the required TP for berserk, cast it after the attack part of their turn is used up. Which leads to shenanigans like this. PLA uses berserk, Punches both enemies. Xapan counters and hits PLA and his own teammate for 1/4 damage thanks to the counter-attack reduction.
CANOPUS: You'll find more glory in battle than chasing after a pittance of bounty, no?
XAPAN: Balmamusa made a cripple of Galgastan. She only has the one leg left, and that already in the grave.
CANOPUS: Little profit to be had from laying siege to Coritanae, then?
XAPAN: Aye, that's the truth of it. Still profit in claiming heads like yours, though.
We're cleaning up the rest of the map, but Basil decides to show off his lobber skills. I should probably pick up the ranged accuracy skill for him. You can fire the items past the shown range, like bows, and they get more and more inaccurate the further you go.
Jakarrd's second kill in the battle. Not bad, not bad.
We get lucky tarot drops twice this battle. Khildith picks up some Avoid. Maybe this can help if we find ourselves in the midst of more.. incidents.. involving arrows or fists from groupmates.
And Xapan is tired of PLA's shit. Uses a finishing move to take him down from almost half health. Yeowch. In retaliation, Snot blasts Xapan down to 10% health.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Goddamnit! What is it with bearded assholes and running away! Damnit!
XAPAN: Har! That mouth ne'er opens but a mealy nugget spills forth. I'd tarry longer just for that! But next time, fair lass. Next time.
Argh, asshole fields octopus against us, then makes it out alive. MY BLOODLUST IS NOT SATED. Oh well. We got new classmarks, and we're one step closer to meeting up with Lanselot again. Woo!
Hmm. Think we're still a few fights away from meeting up with Lanselot again. Oh well. I hope we run into one of the bearded escaping asshole twins again soon. Want to slaughter them both. Thanks for reading guys! I'm trying to get updates out asap because I realized that theres sooo many more updates ahead of me, and since I can't sleep atm anyways why not waste a few hours putting this one up. Hope you guys enjoy it!

I did the Law version of this map last night. Aqua Bubble can choke, as far as I'm concerned. I hated those octopi every bit as much as you did.
Wooden, why dont you post a picture of your team so we can see a mirror group of our own? Its always awesome seeing how other people set up their units.

I'll do that once I get home from work. And once I figure out how to SS on this newfangled Vita.
Hold start and hit R trigger to take a screenshot in-game of the psp. Then go to content manager, and connect to a pc. Do Vita -> PC transfer, select pictures and you can see all the TO taken pictures. Regular screenshotting on the vita doesn't work in-game of psps, but since TO has its own ingame screenshot function you can take them. Thats honestly the real reason I was able to do this LP. I don't like downloading and emulating stuff, so I wouldn't have done it any other way.

Silly question: Could you not have captured one of the Octopuses with the beast tamer? Seems like they'd be /very handy/ on water maps, which are otherwise kind of obnoxious.
You know what sucks about Octopi? I mean, other than everything?
They never get any easier.
Seriously, at high levels they have Aquaveil, which lets them use their water skills on land. And they have a skill called Poison Rain, which has 4-5 range AND radius 3. It hits just as hard as Aqua Bubble, in an AOE. It takes 100 TP to use, but since they still have super high defense, you have to beat on them for a while, which makes TP a non-issue. Oh and it has a chance to poison.
fuuuuuuuuuck octopi
Edit: whoops! Looks like Poison Rain is only 50 tp
In my own adventures, I've just been fucking around on Tynemouth hill taking just one ninja and my shaman. I've had two game overs, but I also got my Shaman from 12 to 18 in like 5 battles. At one point I managed to knock a melee enemy down to 6 HP, so I had the ninja kill everyone else and warp out, leaving the shaman to throw rocks at it and net a sweet 930 XP pot.

So true about the octopi. It's made even worse by the fact that they're absolute balls when you try to use them on your own team.

I have an ace up my sleeve though, Khildith is plotting your death even now!

You are doing a good job CorriganX, not only is this a good game and a great remake, but you put in a huge amount of work with uploading pictures, commenting and writing transcripts. You could have easily done a video lp, but chose the harder format. Thanks again.

That might be the only thing that would sell me a new system these days.

You're still spending more time putting these posts together than you are actually playing the game. That's some dedication to your LP, right there. I doff my hat to you good sir.

I hear the Spartoi are good this year.
Good update!
