As much fun as this Burnout is, the whole "hey look at all this dlc you can never get cause we shut down the store" pisses me off.
I mean how hard would it be to keep the store up, or release an update that unlocks all the cars.
Burnout Paradise was an open world pissing about simulator where the question was not who could race fastest but who could get the most distance in a crash.
Also I just got NFS Most Wanted (the new one) so will be trying that later. Does it auto detect dualshock's or will I need to joy2key it?
So, i got dishonored on gamersgate, but for some reason it hasn't appeared on my gameslist in their store. My paypal account said that the payment went through, anyone else having this problem? Should I contact tech support?
Edit: Actually, this confuses me. I thought the above video basically boiled down to cool diversity skins to replace a generic 'Greek' look but then it occurred to me that Greece isn't even a base playable faction. I'm now curious as to what exactly this is about now.
Edit 2: Huh, I've been digging around and apparently it's actually new playable factions, again. So if you Pre-Order from Steam you get 4 new factions essentially. Bit of an odd thing to do for a pre-order bonus.
I'm really liking Prime World Defenders, but it's taking a while to get used to "you can't probably 3 star this level on the first go". I do really like the fusion and evolving of cards though. Also, why the hell can't poison hit air targets? That seems like a glaring oversight to me.
Hey so which of the Tropico's are recommended to be played? I bought the IndieGala bundle and have them all but is it worth starting with the older ones or jumping straight into Tropico 4?

Does it appear in your Gamersgate order history? Is it pending? This is from their FAQ:
"If you have a pending order, and the game is missing on your account, but the payment was made, then you should contact support@gamersgate.com and your order will be checked out and corrected if it is necessary."
Well, praises be to the Newell for his wisdom, because we got a Need for Speed sale just when I was wanting to scratch a racing itch. Bought Hot Pursuit, or I should say re-bought because I got it from Direct2Drive (haha) back when it released, before I knew the Newell so well as I do now, but my system back then wasn't really up to it.
I also got Shift 2 because I've had my eye on it forever even though I don't really have the time/energy for the more sim-style racers anymore.
Can anybody tell me if the wireless speed wheel for the 360 will work on the PC with the wireless adapter from a Xbox 360 controller for Windows? Found a couple threads on other forums indicating it does, depending on the game, but they weren't terribly definitive. If it works, that looks like a happy medium between a gamepad and the full wheel and pedals setups I used to use back in the day. (I had the relatively modest Logitech MOMO and I lusted after the one with the separate H-pattern gearshift, the G27 or whatever, but I can't be bothered with the desk space and all the wires anymore.)

4 or 3. They're fairly similar games. Reloaded is fairly dated. 3 is actually much harder on computers, so if you have a weak rig, go with 4, which has a much better engine performance wise.

My rig is pretty tip top... So what are the major differences between 3 and 4?
So what are the odds that Gamersgate will run out of Dishonored keys any time soon? I haven't dealt much with them so I'm not sure if they're like GMG where you sometimes have to scramble to get in on a deal (and I'll be annoyed if I miss out because of being stuck at work).
Also, Rome: Total War II can be pre-ordered from GMG with a 25% off code (GMG25-5GT67-87HJ9), it's a Steam key. The faction DLC doesn't come with it though.

Not a lot. More outside world factions to please, more buildings, more edicts (perks). I'd say the big difference is the abundance of DLC 4 has. You may want to snag some of it (and presumably wait for it to go on sale) before diving in, as some of it is pretty great.
Look at it this way, it's still purchasable, and if they don't get you a key, they'll likely you give you that fancy 20 percent off everything discount they gave to everyone that got screwed up a couple months ago.
I'll try to avoid ranting on this, because that is something probably better served for the industry thread (and because I said I wouldn't get upset at GMG in an earlier post), but seriously, it's a digital product... regardless of whose "fault" it is (seller for not having enough inital keys, dev/publisher for not providing enough), this kinda stuff needs to get fixed. Especially in the cases where you have unannouced deals only lasting a few hours when they are billed as "weekend" deals.
There needs to be better communication with all parties involved.
Edit: Obviously they can play the whole "Rain check" game. That still doesn't address my "increase your communication" point.
I don't understand how "running out of keys" works. GMG is making a profit here, Bethesda makes a profit when they sell to GMG, how is "getting more keys" not fairly instantaneous?
The publishers only generate X amount of keys at a time and provide them to GMG or GamersGate. Those keys are presumably at some negotiated block cost. When they run out of sale keys they run out. They may or may not have the ability to purchase another block of keys to allow them to continue selling them for such a cheap rate. Plus Steam is involved somewhere in there. I assume the publishers generate the keys via Steam originally?

From now on, I am not allowed to post until I have done thorough research on the subject. Had that Rome 2 post been an OP rather than just a late-thread post, it would have been a stinker (the bad version).
Also, does the racing you guys do last over time or is it a current 'mood'? Like, if I got Hot Pursuit in a months time, am I still going to find some of you folks eager to play it?
It's refreshing to see the enthusiasm. None of my real-life friends ever want to race me. (I think they are afraid of being arrested or something)
I'm always up for playing games with PA guys. So if you know I own a game and you want to play some multi feel free to buzz me and I'll likely come on if able.

Really? Wow, guess I'll be downloading 4 for my laptop then. I have 3 installed there.

So like.. Since people seem to be splooshing over Prime World and Fez and such, sounds like I should give one of them away!
So, MS PAINT TIME.
Send me your bootiful MS paint art of... Hmm....
'The coolest dolphin ever'
Being related to the game you want in some fashion will get Bonus Points. Do indicate whether you want Fez or Prime World because even if you think the picture is clear, I am often dense.
Edit: By send I mean PM of course. Just in case that wasn't clear. Usual rules apply. Etc, etc.
Reposting this because I just woke up and don't have nearly enough entries. Channel your inner flipper!

When are you closing this one off? I'd really like to enter for Fez...and I have me some Paint.

Thank Iolo! There will be much claptrap punching.
If so... Yeah. Gonna have to do that.

It's probably the best one. The only glaring problem is the lack of the Big Surf Island DLC.

Edit: This is untrue. EVERYONE gets Pontus free day 1, Pre-Order or no.
Also, pre-order from anywhere and you can get this:
