man im swimming in drops. most of them are crap, but still. maybe equip your follower with some magic find gear and put a yellow gem in your helm?

Maybe it's from playing Path of Exile, I sort of just assumed that MF was quality, not quantity.
It's both. Higher MF = more Magic items, more Rare items, more Legendary items.

Edit: Unless you mean quality in terms of how the stats roll on an item.

Quality as in a higher chance that the items drop will be blue rather than white, yellow rather than blue, etc. Not stats, of course.

Quantity as in more items dropped from monsters killed - people were saying this is part of MF, which I didn't think it was.

The overall quantity of items, and the proportion of white items to magic items, are not affected by MF. What MF does is increase the chance that a blue item will instead be a 4/5/6 affix Rare, or a Legendary/Set. So with a high MF you will actually see far fewer blues than before.

Sweet Lord, though. As much as I like the rest of what I'm seeing, clans/guilds are going to be a huge thing - for me, anyway. I have a couple long-term friends from my WoW guild that play D3. Connecting with them in another guild space and tackling Nephalim challenges together to see how many waves we can get just sounds like incredible fun.

    I like you.

Anytime PA people set up groups or whatever for games, nobody ever wants to use Hotsteppers. It's like... the best name.

Edit: Also, I'm a console noob. What are Paragon rewards? I noticed in my profile that it said "Reach level 60 to start earning Paragon Rewards."

    THEN FIX THAT

Paragon levels are bonus stat stuff you keep getting after you hit max level.

    More newb Barbarian questions.

Does the Cleave Rupture rune explosion also build fury? On that note, I'm unclear on fury generation outside of taking damage or using fury generators. For example, does the damage done by Rend also build fury?

Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Sure, but that doesn't mean that all effects will be useful for max levels. +XP comes to mind.

You mean the most useful max level affix there is?
+20 xp at max level is pretty shitty. %XP is good, but not +static amounts. Unless they made it scale a lot higher on max level gear, anyway.

    Sweet.

Played a bit last night. Taking a break helped me refocus on the game, itself, rather than the Auction House. It was fun to follow around a sorc and watch things sploody boom without worrying about the profitability of my drops.

Also bought a crit mempho for cheap. That will be the last thing I purchase until loot 2.0.

Are you sure about this? I was under the impression that MF also made white items more likely to be magic items.

That was my understanding as well. Higher MF results in less white items.

    Edit: Thread with math

"No" to both your questions. The 4 primary attacks give you the amount of fury noted when you hit something. Whether you hit one thing with cleave or ten things, you'll still get 5 rage from the swing. Otherwise you just get fury from taking damage, as you noted, or from other various skill sources (Battle Rage: Into the Fray, the fury regen passive, etc.).

Edit: Just remembered a couple other exceptions. If you have a +fury per hit bonus (Weapons Master passive with a mighty weapon; 4 piece IKs, I believe?), that will increase the damage per swing of your fury generators by the amount noted. Not sure if that affects things like Into the Fray.

I'm on console, I don't think I have a 4th primary attack, just the 3 fury generators. Thank you very much for clarifying that for me.

Yeah, it's 3, not 4. I wasn't really thinking and just said 4 since that's how many the other 4 classes have.

I feel like console players will eventually burn out on new drops anyway. You'll eventually reach the point where you'll have found five or six mempos, and get your character into that 99th percentile where naturally 99% of what you find, legendary or not, won't be useful to you.

Which is true of all types of loot games.
