Transfering sound with video to a second screen

SmilingoatSmilingoat Registered User regular
Currently I am trying to send a video feed to my TV so that both the sound and picture shows up. At the same time I'd like to use my desktop for games, but I can not figure out how to send video/audio to my TV while keeping video/audio on my PC. Currently Video is separate on both, but audio is shared. I am running windows 8 on a 660GTX via HDMI.

Thanks in advance.

I think you might need two audio sources - like, a sound card and also onboard mobo sound.

Tycho is correct, and the application you are using will have to let you choose the audio source. Media players usually let you do this (MPC from CCCP).

I personally use a HDMI cable and route the specific application to the TV via the application.
