After Chronicles of Mystara, a DND fighting game doesn't surprise me at all.

In the new podcast, the Zaibatsu say they don't like Kung Fury
I thought it was hilarious. I lost my shit when they brought out the power glove.
Also Matt's wedding went off great apparently.

I have not watched the whole of Kung Fury, but I wasn't a fan of the bit I saw. It's like how Blood Dragon got all the details right, Kung Fury got em all wrong.
Also greenscreening the whole thing seemed like a poor directorial choice given its supposed to be from the era of cheap practical effects...
Oh brilliant

You wanna discuss the budget of the movies they were imitating versus what they had available from the Kickstarter? It's... not close.

It doesn't need to look good. Like Black Dynamite is a technical mess, but it's part of the joke. Kung Fury would be a lot better with flimsy cardboard sets and crap wire work, IMO.
So as usual the internet is reactionary and goofy. I didn't find the end of that 'poorly written.' Perfect? Nah, but it was by no means bad.
Bit of a bummer for either choice. Too bad! I was hoping we might one day see the Continuing Adventures of Max, but this tied it up in such a way that any sequel would devalue the ending.
After this and Aria of Sorrow, I think Matt/Liam playthroughs are my favorite.
I love how Liam just seems to inexplicably hate Warren despite seemingly being the nicest person in the game.
Poor kid. He's the virtual illegitimate son Liam never wanted and he's making sure he knows it.
He hates him because in his mind, he is real life's Warren.

Apparently there's an anecdote floating around that Warren's personality reminds Liam of his girlfriend's ex, who was apparently a massive creeper, which would explain his violent emotional reaction to him
Listening to him make those incredible mental gymnastics during the nightmare sequences and in the Friendscast ("A DANGEROUS PERSON") got such a laugh and a facepalm from me, though

Oof, gonna be fun to see Matt and Woolie tackle the last GoT ep
I'm expecting Woolie to yell at some point "IT CAN'T ALL HAVE BEEN FOR NOTHING!"

Nightmare-Warren is explicitly creepy, though nightmare-everyone is.

There was an article on Eurogamer recently pointing out that the relationship with Warren is a typical videogame romance sidequest, except Warren is the player and you're the NPC.

And that's what makes Liam's confirmation bias so hilariously goosey - he takes nothing else in that sequence at face value but then when Warren is going around being a creeper Liam suddenly goes "SEE THIS IS WHAT WARREN IS TRULY LIKE"
Warren seems like the kind of guy that is going to whine about being put in the friend zone in a few months.
Yes. Women I know who have played this ALL pointed this out to me - as it wasn't something I initially picked up on. It is how he comes across as to many women as that "nice guy" stereotype. It doesn't help his case Max's in game diary mentions that she's not that into him as well.

That's not perspective, he's dwarf-Oro/Baiken.
