I believe the text on the Mythos is resolved AFTER the gate and movement (pg. 9-12 steps on Holy Makers of Twilight Imperium), so the mi-go should stay in the street, rather than sky.
Also - do we not have 13 doom track to fill? Not that I mind 11, to kick Hastur %#...

Sounds like losing a fight to that Nightgaunt is my best way to get to the Gate in the woods. Am I forgetting anything that makes that a bad idea?
Nope. But someone should kill it afterwards. Useful as those things are, they are still monster limits. Btw, you can't volunteer to lose a fight, or a sneak check, so try not to kill it accidentally

Not only that, but the environment also boosted their toughness by 2, so that's not enough to kill him. So @Auralynx, re-do the horror test, and then it hits for 1 Stamina, after which you can try again.

Nah, you're right about the Will check. As for the 3 toughness, I do have a Rifle, so it's worth a shot anyhow. I'm fairly good at running if I have to.
Gloria is at 3 stamina and I guess I'll reroll the horror with the next attack attempt.

Yeah, the thought crossed my mind. Gonna take one more shot; at this point the clue tokens are getting spent to kill it or flee, one or the other. At least the next step of my plan involves intentional failure.
If a player after you in the turn order moves into the Woods the turn you come out of the gate they can kill the monsters in their movement and then won't get sucked in because you'll (theoretically) close it before their Arkham Encounters phase.

3 sanity. Reading the book will take away 1 of it and i'm in no shape to fight anything on the street. If noone takes it (looking at you Ms Fern) - I'll run to Asylum and read it and recover immediately, but... seems like a waste, especially with Carolyn in the game.

On the subject of exchanging things, I am actively looking for spells or things that'll give me spells since sanity cost basically doesn't really matter for me. So if you have something of that nature that you don't want, let me know and I'll figure out a way to meet up.
