It's in a fucking awesome spot if you ignore the fairly heavy traffic on the road that goes up the hill.
The apartment itself, however, is a pokey dingey shithole. But at least it's relatively cheap ($350/week), central, and we've been here for a long time.
My front yard tends to be filled with cars (there's like 10 people living on this property). I've made it clear that if they don't space them out enough for me to walk through them, I will walk on top of them.
Do you?
Please say yes, it will make my night.
I haven't had the opportunity to make good on that threat, but I kind of want it to come to that.

My yard is a mess. Also, it's a dark and stormy night. No, really.
But here's a pic of when it was all nice and manicured, when we first moved in 7 years ago.
We've since cut down all but one of those trees, put up a half-complete fence and retaining wall, and left most of the plants to overgrow. We've had it cleared, but we need to repair the retaining wall as it was not done with an eye towards longevity and now my yard is about to spill onto my carpad. We have a builder scheduled to come in the Summer.
It's a shame we haven't managed to get the front right and let it go for so long, because we've done great work in the back and around the side, putting in a deck, and our House Renovation to take advantage of it. But our front is a bit of an embarrassment. The fence is half finished, the second retaining wall is a bit of a joke thanks to posts that aren't in a straight line and the whole thing is a testament to how poor Jen and I are at gardening.
It is from a time when I registered, but too intimidated by the snark and everything to post... I think it was right after Ranger threads got shut down... It was something to do with her hating dogs and how yards are a waste of space, resources and time.
I'll post mine later. I don't want to go outside at the moment, but I live in a quant neibhorhood and I actually really like it here now that I have a chance to do more then work all the time forever.

I live in an apartment building and I am not going to post a picture of my "front yard", but trust me when I say there's a homeless lady who has been smoking crack out there for the last hour and a half or so.

This is one side of my front yard, in an odd January snowstorm we had in Georgia. We hardly ever get snow here, but this happened about 5 years ago. And yes, that was my Firebird. I had dreams of being Knight Rider, but sadly, it was not to be.
I'll have to get more current pics later. Also, the Google Street view of our house also has my Firebird, which means they haven't been by here in at least 5 years.

There's a special sort of surreality living in an apartment in a small time ghetto. Like one time I found some marijuana plants sprouting up in the little flower box near the sidewalk

Amsterdam is gorgeous.
Wish housing wasn't so hard to come by/expensive to get.

There's something about this picture I find incredibly depressing.
that picture makes things look far, far more bleak than they are
also this whole neighborhood is rental housing, which is why everything looks so uniform
