Xbox 360 questions [solved]

I've never XBoxed before and my company has an XBox 360 that the DVD drive died on.

They want to get a new one.

My question is about the hard drive. I believe this is an original 360, the date on it is 2009 / 07 / 27.

If I get a 360 E, can I just pop the hard drive out of the current one and put it in the new one?

The 4GB model is only 150 at Best Buy, and that'd be pretty great if I could use our current drive.

Please explain these Xboxes to me Help / Advice Forum.

On the 360's the hard drive is in a special box and on the 360 E the box is different. Basically Microsoft are some greedy bastards which is why they have things like that so they can overcharge for storage.

Here is a youtube on exactly how to use an old drive on a new 360: youtube.com/watch?v=HqCDqx97zHE
