Weird static?

So I just got back to college, plugged my headphones into my speaker system, which routes into my PC, and now I can hear this really weird static. I have no idea what caused it. But it's not a constant static. And the speakers themselves are projecting it as well. It's quite annoying. Any ideas?

That movie was so disappointing. Oh and the static: is it completely random or in some sort of rhythm?

My GF's laptop speakers cause static independent from volume level that follows USB data transfers.

Copy from USB key and you hear it, move the mouse and you hear it.

The static seems more rhythmic, but not really in any sort of pattern. it mixes it up.

Likely the problem lies somewhere between the chair and the computer.

I few brands of speakers I have seen get static and signals because of lack of shielding on them. They pic up radio if the volume is turned low, and if a cell phone rings you get a pulsing static for a bit.

Sometimes on shitty soundcards you can hear noise from other busses bleed through. On my work PC I can hear clicks whenever I move the mouse.

Has anyone considered the possibility that his dark master is beckoning him from another plane?
