[MTG] Pack Rat Fever (BOTG Sealed League, see pg 20)
RW is what I'm having the most fun with currently. Good match ups against UW and Monoblack, which get better post sideboard, a ton of threats that demand a detention spere from UW that you can Wear/Tear or Glare of Heresy away.

Okay, here's the second draft of minotaurs. As versatile as Hero's Downfall is at instant speed, I tried using it and it didn't work out due to my deck being so heavy in the 3-drop area. I also dropped Purphoros for Underworld Cerberus, just because it either a) gets through for 6 damage a turn no problem or b) dies and gives me all my dead minotaurs back.
We'll see how it plays, but I like the concept so far and it absolutely has ruined some aggro decks I've played against. Control is a big problem right now, and I'm thinking about my sideboard being all answers for that.
Control will lose to that DGM rare that makes both players discard their hands. Forget the name and can't look it up now but control will be in topdeck mode and you'll be out of cards by 6cmc anyway
Yeah, Cerberus has been excellent for me in the control matchups at just restocking my hand full of threats again. Him eating a Detention Sphere/Chained to the Rocks Is the worse case scenario, since you can't interact with either.
You definately want to be running 2-3 copies of Slaughter Games in your board. It makes the UW match up a cakewalk since they are down to basically mill and Elspeth/Archangel of Thune as wincons now. Mutavaults aren't bad to deal with for your Minotaurs.
Scrapping Elspeth kills their wincon then Supreme Verdict/Sphinx's Rev/Detention Sphere stops them messing with your board.

Slaughter games is the best for stopping control.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I kind of want to build Modern Vampires, because the art on Nocturnus is soooo cool. And I don't think I necessarily need Lilianas for a more aggressive type deck, which knocks a bazillion dollars off the price.

So I stumbled across a Mind Seize for MSRP at Target, and miracle of miracles, it hadn't been opened, stripped of value, and then returned full of commons and Yugi-oh cards.
Is there any reason for me to keep the True-Name Nemesis rather than cashing it in? I don't play Vintage/Legacy, and it's definitely not going in my cube.

True-Name Nemesis will never drop in value. It was a mistake to print it in the first place, so they won't reprint it again. Maybe in an FTV - Commander or something years down the line, but even that wouldn't lower its price. I've got my playset and I won't get rid of them until they top $80. I'm actually debating getting another 4 for added value.

If it was a mistake to print they'll ban it. If it wasn't, it could easily show up in a future supplemental product.

honest question, is there a reason we arent playing the 1R 2/3 and the full set of warcallers/fanatics and some one drops even though they arent on tribe like cackler and the satyr
20 creatures is really low and only 12 of them are actually minotaurs anyway. a lot of those spells probably belong sideboard

My favorite thing to do to Pack Rat is Detention Sphere it or Supreme Verdict it...
If anyone hasn't watched the Semifinals of GP Vancouver yet, Game 1 is one of the awesomest things I've ever seen.
Mono black vs UW Control. It's epic
At one point Monoblack had 30-something life and Control had like 5. MonoB had THREE Underworld Connections in play. Control never Rev'ed past that point
I'm hitting up the midnight session. Going to play some EDH or Cards Against Humanity leading up to it.
So I think with Monoblack post Born of the Gods, Temple of Malice and Blood Crypt go in to give access to Slaughter Games. Bile and Drown give better creature removal as a solution for fast aggressive decks which it has issues, but I just don't see how you lose against the slower decks with access of up to four of them.

That's true, I suppose. I might take out a bit of the spot removal and put in the smaller guys... That definitely sounds appealing.
if you're talking about Firedrinker Satyr i have a personal hatred for that card

I really like the Raider in the two drop slot. 2/3 is a big, big body for two mana and following it up on turn three with either your Lord, making him a 3/4 or a Skullcleaver and swinging for six is a pretty good place to be turn three.
if you had access to it stormbreath is probably better than cerberus (and they are dropping in price steadily) but cerberus probably still gets the job done
and while I also think firedrinker satyr is overall poop from a butt, hes really good against major players like u/w control that have no damage based way of dealing with him and he can go nuts till they find something
Seems to me that with Devour Flesh likely to get cut from black decks to find space for Bile Blight and Drown in Sorrows, that Blood Baron is a pretty good place to be right now.

Actually I think it looks good but I also don't know stuff
I wanna say find room for searing blood but I just really like the cut of searing blood's jib so I want to see it in all red decks
If there was like, the RW burn deck, I'd be all in on Searing Blood

because half my store is playing the monoB deck now

And Control WON.
Elspeth Ultimated and LIVED.
I did midnight for all of RTR and for theros
fuck I'm probably gonna midnight again this time too
I think for either theros or the last set of RtR I also did the saturday morning event
Because who needs sleep or money

Yeah dude. "Is now an important card in legacy" is not the same as a mistake.

2x Chandra, Pyromaster
2x Rakdos' Return
