I spent a couple of days in Yosemite during a San Fran/CA trip. One day we did the 12 hr Half Dome hike. The other day we did smaller hikes to see these things (I don't remember if we saw them all)

    Hetch Hetchy Reservoir
    Yosemite Valley
    Glacier Point
    Mariposa Grove
    Sentinel Dome
    Yosemite Falls
    Vernal Fall

I worked in the park for 5 years.

Honestly, 1.75 days is not enough to do much. I've gotten stuck in traffic jams between the valley and the meadows that lasted longer.

The southern entrance is actually an interesting point to explore - there aren't many tourists, so you can move about a bit more freely.

There are no good places to eat. Really.

As for hikes, it is totally what you make of it. I've been on hikes that were highly regarded only to hate them; I've hiked trails that no one paid any attention to and loved them.

I know this is kind of worthless advice, but I think the best route is to wing it.

You don't have much time - just drive around, park, and get out of your car. Go on a random trail and have a nice day outside. There is no use planning with such a limited time frame.
