At the end of the episode Homer is explaining what happened to Lisa, they are cartoon at this point as Homer was just imagining the whole thing, and Lisa said it sounded a lot like that one movie, then Homer said, oh no it's a totally original plot. In the background some guys are wheeling giant Lego statues of Emmett and Wyldstyle from the Lego Movie.

Apparently comedian Kumail Nanjiani is going to play a character in the new Walking Dead episode

I love him but he has a very recognizable voice and it's gonna take me way the hell out of the game

driving at an average of 81 MPH off-road and 131 MPH on-road, the drive took me a little over an hour and a half

I can barely keep my shirt down. a skirt would just be a belt most of the time, and my pantsu would be on constant display

Living alone can make it tricky getting a delivery. There's a knock, but are you dressed? Is there custard in your beard? You're not sure because you stopped caring about your appearance the night before last.

Oh well. Better throw on the first t-shirt and sweatpants you find and open the door.

I shaved my beard two days ago so I have no food in mine.

It is well on it's way back though cause I hate using razors.

one time i had to answer the door, sprang out of bed, threw on the nearest clothing like items, and ran downstairs to realize i had literally everything on backwards.

Dude at the end was like "Rough night, eh?" and left.

How common is it anymore to have to sign for a delivery?
Around here they don't wait even a second for me to come to the door. They put the package down, knock twice and head right back to the truck

The weird thing about delivery in Japan is your genkan, which is the lower area right inside your door where you keep your shoes, is considered to be a public space to a degree.

So, if you forget to lock your door a delivery person might step inside to call and see if you are home. And my genkan has visibility to my shower door, which of course I step out of naked.

    Yeah. Yeah...

I'm sure rougher neighborhoods and apartments especially get the hand-delivery treatment, but I definitely have the two ships passing in the night relationship with my UPS guy

Of course that is just why I get things delivered to my local convenience store these days. So I can just go pick them up at my leisure, also pay for stuff cash on delivery. I have to stamp for all my packages though.

I wonder if I can get my stamp to be my signature in the states :P

is your stamp kanji or romanji? (or I guess I'd just say alphabetical [or maybe it's hiragana/katakana phonetic of your name {god dang I'm in too deep now}])

Most foreigners I know here have their stamp in katakana but mine is actually just the four letters of my first name in all English capitals arranged in a square. I love it!

True story. I am mentally unable to wear anything but pants. I went to a catholic school from 1st to 8th grade where the boys had to wear pants every day as part of the uniform no matter the weather. By the time I got to high school shorts were just bred out of me.

Also my legs are super white and no one probably wants to see them.

I used to never wear shorts. And then I spent a summer in humid Japan. And fuck pants in that noise.

Man I'm in Nebraska. 100+ temps with 90% humidity in the summers. All pants all the time.

Do you secretly hate yourself? Also if you start wearin shorts your legs will get less white. :P

Mentally unable. I'm not joking here. It's kinda like a reverse phobia.

Also it's done me good practice when I do my reenacting and have to stand around in my wool uniform all day in the summer. Of course that has actually broken my body's temp gauge and now I need a lite coat in the upper 70s or else I'm cold.

i've found that i don't care what part of my body is hot, as long as my head is cool. unfortunately they don't make head-only air conditioners

Sleep with jeans and jackets on the regular

I've tried softer thinner materials and there's no real difference in sleep quality or comfort

Wet cloth on the head does wonders. Like, people always ask if I'm hot in my three layers of heavy wool uniform. Hell yes I'm hot. But when I sweat through the coat, any light breeze feels like the best air conditioner in the world.

Downside is if there is no breeze or the humidity gets higher than 80% then we are proper buggered.
