The movie was pretty good as well.

And yeah, 28 Days Later is fucking amazing. I heart that movie so much.

I... don't think I'll like this sequel. I hope it's great, but I'll keep my skeptic's hat on for now.

As much as I dont want this movie to suck, I know it will. The first thing that came to mind was "Why the fuck would anyone go back to london only after 6 months!?".

Also in 28 Days Later, it was mentioned that the virus was known to be in New York and Paris? (Correct me here if I'm wrong.) If that were the case, dont you guys think the rage virus would have tore the US apart so much that after 6 months they would still be concerned about their own ass?

Whatever, I think the story so far is pretty weak, and I'm not buying into it. Like most of you I know its gonna suck, especially since 28 Days Later was so great.

Still looking forward to it though... =/

Since when have guns ever stopped a zombie outbreak in any other film or book or game? Not everyone in America owns a gun. I dont.

All of you shut your faces. The virus wasn't in New York or Paris. It was a lie because they had the entire island quarantined. I remember the sergeant was babbling on when they had them imprisoned and he says "what do you do with a diseased little island!"

    Edit: Its also why
    they got rescued.
I mean, why would anyone care about England's raging zombie problem if they had crazies vomiting blood in their own back yards?

Edit: I'm spoilering something just because but anyone with half a brain would know the answer without watching the movie just on the basis that theres a sequel.

I think you're giving the sequel too much credit for their faulty plot. In my heart, I want to believe the rest of the world is fucked but w/e. On another note, I believe there is a line of comics that are due out sometime before launch to tie the two films together.

On the contrary. I enjoy most of the movies I see and have what I would consider to be quite a healthy list of favourite movies.
But it is also true that I often pick out one particular favourite moment in a movie, to the point where I can be building up anticipation of it until it happens (for instance, Nick Angel kicking an 80 year old woman in the face), but one great moment does not make a great movie.

I'm just ticked Bullock never signed on for any of the sequels of this trilogy and instead went with two remakes of Groundhog's Day. Way to go with consistency.

Tony Scott had some really bad misses (The Fan, Domino) but c'mon, the man directed Top Gun, True Romance, and Crimson Tide. Sure they were all years and years ago, but he gets a free pass for at least a little bit longer.

Some people still give Michael Jackson a pass for Thriller too.

EDIT: And True Romance is awesome mostly because of Tarantino's dialog and the casting of Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken.

Oh God don't get me started on Domino. Oliver Stone's technique of random shit appearing onscreen wasn't all that compelling to begin with, let alone it being mimicked.
