Oh shit guys, Power Rangers is still running!
It started with these guys
That everyone knows and loves.
But they're not on it anymore because they change the cast every year now!

The franchise was started by Haim Saban, then sold to Disney just after the 10th season, who held it for around 7 years and dumped it after making one of the best seasons since the departure of the arcing story in Power Rangers in Space (Power Ranger RPM). After laying dead for a year while Disney tried to re-air old episodes of Mighty Morphin, the series was reborn when it was bought back by Saban and Power Rangers Samurai was made. Last year, Power Rangers MegaForce (and it's second part, Super MegaForce) celebrated the series' 20th Anniversary. Saban celebrated by bringing a bunch of high-quality, die-cast versions of old toys and props under the Legacy brand.
A cast interview was done with the MegaForce cast at SDCC and it's kind of cool to see the actors talking about how they grew up watching Power Rangers, and now they're playing them.

My grandfather was always a staunch Republican with some racist ideas, but he was tempered by his two seriously leftwing daughters (one of which is my mother). Unfortunately, as he aged he fell further and further into the mire of Fox News and even managed to indoctrinate his two youngest daughters.
