I don't handle the budgies very much anymore, just to clip them and such. They've devolved to being way more into other budgies than people. They occasionally go spastic, I've lost one to a breakneck flight straight into a wall which led me to clipping them regularly, which has led to very sad and pathetic attempts at breakneck flights into the wall. So they just get to be budgies, not tiny people anymore.
My conure Meko (pictured on shoulder) however adores attention and is ecstatic to have his picture taken, and thinks he is a very small person that can fly.
