yeah i'm finishing up the end of this episode and
gosh i just
idk guys.
Just super duper dumb.
Oh hey the thing we knew had to happen at the end of last season is now going to happen.
thanks
But people won't roll over, and Negan is murdering folks anyway. Capitulation didn't work, so now we have to try and fight.
I didn't hate the episode, but this entire first half season has been like 3 or 4 episodes of stuff stretched thin, just to get us to the part where interesting stuff is going to happen.
Again, this first mid season isn't bad, but I can't believe that some people are calling it some of the best TWD has been. I think the farm episodes were better IMO, and that's saying a lot.

They missed the perfect scene that would have justified Rick's re-rolling (Rickrolling?):

Real Negan finally showed up, clean shaved as he should be. I'm such a Negan fan lol
I had to come into this thread to say that Jeffrey Dean Morgan is doing a fantastic Negan.
It's funny when people say they want a proper ending for the show and characters... but that was never the intention of the comic or show, to end. The point of the show is to keep going and until it stops making tons of money TWD isn't going away anytime soon.
Yea. People won't tune out and while it won't be making money hand over fist like it was and be the biggest thing on TV. It is what it is. They still have a ton of alternative media outlets to monetize and they obviously are innovators of the form.
I think the decline in quality is more closely related to the relative decline of AMC's quality. It's the only show I even watch semi weekly anymore on it and I'd be happy without it for a while now. I got lucky and started Breaking Bad it's premiere night and it breaks my heart. Being HBO isn't easy; as even HBO has shown.
I thought it was said that there were
Which I'm thinking was part of the reason for the sign left behind.
It's hard. Because the ratings will protect him.
And the people running the channel don't give a shit about creative quality, just results.
But it needs someone who knows what they are doing to lead the way. Look at Dexter when Scott Buck got a hold of Dexter. A bad showrunner can tank the whole fucking thing.
Two different areas.
The boat that Rick and Aaron found was full of guns, but was missing bullets. Which could have been intentional, but we don't know yet because we don't know the identity of who mystery swag boot person is.

Heck even the thread about the show can't seem to die! What's the last thread you saw reach this page count!
Oh right, thanks.
does anyone? i need evidence of this.
shit i didn't even bother learning that dudes name until this morning.
The Alexandrians all seem bothered that he's openly trying to get Rick killed right in front of them then gets gutted. This is what specifically sends Rosita off on one. It's bizarre, he's only ever portrayed as a tool.
Also anytime he is actually mad is genuinely threatening.
Are you telling me that none of the Saviors would be interested in having a big ass sword as a trophy/zombie killing tool?
No anime fans survived the zombpocalypse?
Just something that's been bothering me. Just saying that if I was looting getting shit for Negan and I came across a functional sword like that? It'd probably be pretty high on the list. Maybe not above food or ammo, but I'd definitely take the sword before the mattresses.
Seemed like they left all the melee weapons in general.
And the mattresses were to prove a point.
Wasn't Michonne out of Alexandria when the Savirs came for the guns? I doubt the katana was on the inventory list, since it isn't for anyone else to take from inventory, it's hers and hers alone, so there's no reason for the Saviors to have realized they could take it.*
If and only if she was in fact out of Alexandria.
She was out when they came, but she came back near the end of their visit with the deer and the un-inventoried rifle.
And it would seem to me that taking a rare and obviously valued item from a person who'd been carrying it for years would send a strong message, just like the mattresses, but on an entirely more personal level.
With a lot less heavy lifting to boot.
In that case, Negan didn't tell them to take the sword, so they didn't take the sword?
I'm just gonna keep making stuff up until something stick or I get bored.
Come Overwatch with meeeee
It was kind of silly that they even all got together to watch a pool game between people they hate.
Spencer didn't have a point at all. His entire family was just resourceful/super lucky they never had to survive outside out a safe zone. The most comfortable safe zone you could imagine at that; Spencer probably barely missed a shower during the majority of the apocalypse and always had a comfortable bed to sleep on. He never had to do the worst kinds of things just to survive.
While true they potentially would have been alive. Not many of them are left now, right?
More thoughts:
Also, I feel kinda bad for Judith now. That baby really seemed to like Olivia. I kinda liked Olivia as a tertiary character. This is better than me not really feeling anything at all for Judith before.
I don't remember how Negan's sad-sack goon got his hands on Rick's revolver, but that was very convenient. But Yay for Darryl not breaking. The bro hug was nice. I don't know what the point of Jesus's being there was...finding Negan's HQ is important but if Darryl was going to escape anyway we didn't really need him to find the HQ. I guess he helped Darryl find his way back to Hilltop. He looked cool jumping out of that truck though, and I really dig his post-apocalypse fashion sense.
I really wanna know if Michonne killed that girl or not. And what was with the dude in the boots at the boat? Was that a callback to something?
