Haruna, Erik, and Roland

The vial shattered when it hit the hulkalanche's back and a thick cloud of mist erupted from within the glass container swallowing up Haruna's construct, the ghouls, and everything else around them in a matter of seconds. Erik felt the temperature plummet around the perimeter of the cloud as he supported Haruna's weight. A roar of challenge erupted from the hulkalanche and was answered by the unsettling keening cry of he ghouls as they continued battling the enormous creature.

So breaking the vial adds a couple of aspects to the scene.

Freezing Fog: The fog is thick enough to completely obscure anything within it, and it is also extremely cold.

Ok Arc, thanks for letting us know. Wednesday is my next day off, so aside from running Dungeons and Dragons at the library for two hours I will be around without a doubt. I'll be more available from now on though. Overtime should not crush my life as much.

"Move away from the humans" came Jacob's voice down the escalator, surprisingly calm and direct given the circumstances. "They are not to be harmed."

Slowly, he started descending the escalator, gathering power as he went. Sparks lit the stairwell, illuminating his dark features in short bursts. Making eye contact with one ghoul, then the other, he paused on the stairs.

"Let them go, or there will be consequences." The sentiment was punctuated with a miniature crack of thunder.

actually given how weakened Haru is and how badly the Hulkalanche got trounced i'm gonna go ahead and concede out of this conflict while i still have just a few consequences

After running a good distance, I slow down. This running thing isn't going to work for ghouls. I notice that Roland is far ahead, and call out after him, angrily, "Where are you going!?"

"Damnit," I mutter.

I ask Haruna if she can stand on her own, and with the benefit of not supporting another's weight, I return my attention to the cloud of fog where the ghouls and golem are still battling it out. I get to work, magically preparing for the coming fight.

Confirm for me something, the area I froze where the child-murderer was is like, right around where the fight is, right? So is that aspect still on the scene, untagged? It's hard to tell, haha. If it isn't, I'll cast that rote over again under the fog.

If it is, I'm going to scribe a rune to tag later, which I'll roll pending the answer to the first.

Just wanted to post a quick update. My employers lied to my face and added more mandatory overtime after assuring me they wouldn't do that. I've also been helping my girlfriend deal with the fact that she left school and started a new job within a two day period so that was...hectic. Got a few things to deal with today but things will return to something approximating normal next week.

Ooof, I did the same thing your girlfriend did and it was a terrible idea. Super sorry to heart about the overtime too. Mandatory overtime is the worst
