I think giving up spells is worth it to have a shot at closing the London gate before more monsters spawn on it.
Also, I agree with Void Slayer on what Diana should do.
There's also the fact that any Gates that are sealed are removed from the game at this point and will never reopen (card says they are returned to the Box, not the Gate Stack/draw pile).

Actually, that brings up another point; Lola, Silas, and Leo's boost power only works for Investigators on their space. So Lola in Shanghai can't help Trish in Tunguska with a strength test.
Whatever color that Buenos Aires gate is, that's where I'll put the Omen Track, and, If it's blue, put it at the 3 o'clock position.
