Is Paladins even a moba at this point? The game has changed a lot since beta, and now it's more similar to fps than moba. The only thing it really shares with mobas now is that it has an item shop.
What we're really seeing is a resurgence of arcadey first-person shooters that have learned a few things from mobas.

Is it a team based game in which you gradually destroy enemy fortifications with the help of AI minions, whom can be preemptively destroyed by the enemy for some sort of advantage? If so, that's the best definition of MOBA I can come up with (it's the most consistent set of features between all the ones I've seen).
And I think we're finally leaving the moba craze, which much like the mmo craze has left quite the body count
Super Monday Night Combat
Dawngate
Dungeon Defenders 2*
Infinite Crisis
Dead Island Epidemic
Warhammer 40K: Dark Nexus
Magicka Wars
Orcs Must Die Unchained*
Strife
Guardians of Middle Earth
Rise of Immortals
*While these games aren't dead, they originally had moba competitive modes that were ultimately dropped.
This doesn't include games that could be in trouble, such as Heroes of Newerth (game was sold off to another developer), Gigantic (ran out of money; found a new publisher), and Heroes of the Storm which requires a definition of "trouble" that means "the weakest of Blizzard's recent releases." It didn't have near the impact of Hearthstone nor Overwatch, is what I'm saying.
Speaking of which, the new bandwagon seems to be card games or arcade shooters. Paladins and Battleborn seem to be the first of the shooters to offer themselves on the altar (although being free to play may save them), whereas there's already a few deaths in the digital cardboard trade (Scrolls, which is funny given that Bethesda was actually working on a CCG all along).
Can we count Battlerite as a MOBA? I personally would, since it definitely fits the definition of the acronym. It's just about the art of the team-fight.

But, in a really weird twist, there's only crossplay between Windows ten and Xbox players. Yeah, PC players CANNOT play with each other if they have differing windows version (10 or Not 10). Not 10 version is available later, but you cannot get that version on Windows 10.
Weird as shit.

wait they're crossplaying a shooter between console and PC?
Kinda like Smite but there's verticality to the environs so more precise aim is required.
I want Gigantic to do well but things like the "cross platform" issue really doesn't help it. Unfortunately the old contract with Microsoft means that Arc and eventual Steam users won't be able to play with Win 10 client users.
I assume the Windows 10 version will be delivered by the Microsoft app store. Would be weird if that was the version you're forced to download via Steam.

Probably ham-stringed by the various deal they made with publishers. After the Xbone/Win10 deal was announced it seems like absolutely nothing happened for like a year and a half. Now with PWI... I dunno. Too many people to answer to.
I had to play D&D this morning, and tomorrow I have to buy a ticket to China, so not sure how long that will take. But basically early evenings for you, I am available for shenanigans.
Edit: and I wan those 5 free heroes, so 30 games by January or bust.
Oh, hiyo! HotS players. I'm always up for some hotsing. If you see me online msg me. B net in my signature. I'll be around after the Packers game on sunday.

when will game devs learn
her ult is an aoe bomb
what % of the average hero's HP can she do within, say, 2-3 seconds of uncloaking
with main fire? it didn't seem like much because i couldn't seem to get headshots from behind, tbh
with ult? i was one-shotting everything but the tank

(and if you count Bloodline Champions, that's another death to chalk up)
For what it's worth, the Battlerite devs do not consider it a moba.
that is exactly the case
an important lesson in what fairy tale characters are oppai vs. pettanko

What's the control scheme like though? I guess if it's like smite that could work

And that was like four years ago? Not sure why the game seems to stuck in neutral for so long.
Guess what I bought on Saturday.
