    I know you said youtube video but that sounds like something a stream would do so I just want to throw out that possibility now that they can be embedded

    I imagine the FFVII remake is gonna disappoint a lot of people wanting a 1:1 remaster type thing. It ain't gonna be turn based, for a start. Huge swathes of the story are gonna be cut and restructured. They're talking like its a new game with only the basic outline of the story carrying over.

    I ran that clip three or four times to listen to what the guy was saying and it wasn't toxic. Though I can infer his overall message was that all the good stuff you get from Being Saved is unavailable if you're queer, I didn't hear any of that in the video.

    I don't mind gameplay changes at all, but honestly if they're making huge story changes I'd prefer they just make a totally new game.

    I had the PC version of FF7 (trapezoid box) and played the game on my Pentium II but the game would crash every time Cloud ran. There were no fan patches. I called up EIDOS and they had never heard of that problem.

    I slowly walked everywhere the entire 70 hours I played.

    director apparently didn't know he was the director until a few months ago. He thought people just kept asking for his imput on it cause he worked on the original, and at no point did any boss actually tell him he was in charge of it

    this may be the worst, but there is an equal chance this is the best thing ever

    Speculation here, but when they talk about revising stuff, I think it mostly means side content. I imagine Fort Condor is gone, for example.

    They already confirmed goofy shit like the Wall Market cross dressing scene is intact, tho.

    I'm looking forward to seeing them try and reconcile early game Reno & Turks with late game Reno & Turks. That dude is an evil motherfucker at the start. At the end he's a lighthearted rival, and in Advent Children he's the comic relief. That guy killed thousands of people! D:

    He's preaching, to her or anyone near, about being saved. He turns away near the end, too. idk, I don't find it offensive. I mean, you brought your kiddo to a rally and let her walk out from the group to wave a flag at a counterprotester who is loudly preaching. Also, she didn't seem bothered or intimidated at all, and you can't see his face for much of it.

    From this clip, it just doesn't seem like anything terribly bad on the guy's part. Who knows what he said before or after, though.

    It was all stuff about whether people wanted to have Jesus beside you to help you through the hard times, a God who's constant as life throws you curveballs and disappointments.

    Yeah. PC version was a buggy mess.

    I had two computers, and different game breaking issues on each, so I would frequently have to put my save file on a floppy disk, start it up on the other machine, and then switch back twenty minutes later.

    Woah Woah Woah. VII is just going to scare him. Start with VI, it aged into classic realm and those type of gfx are hip again. VII graphics are too jank these days.

    Give FF Tactics a go. You can get it on your ipad. It's amazing.

    I played FFIII remake on DS and found it meh

    I think I finished FFIV on the DS as well (gba version, not remake) and got burned out on the series like 1/3 of the way through FFV

    so I will probably never experience the magic of FFVI or FFVII. although I suspect VII especially is mostly nostalgia at this point
