So remind me again, why did they remove raid sets and trinkets from LFR?
Because game designers without the ability to look past their noses made the decision thanks in part to a small minority of bad players whining at them loudly at the end of MoP. Same reason why they got rid of Valor in the first place.
No, they just wanted more people to do the actual raids instead of LFR. Giving LFR it's own loot table was just another way to make Normal seem more appealing for some.
If the other was the case, there'd be no reason to lower the difficulty of Normal, make it more accessible with the flex system, or add their own LFG tool.
Or give away free raid gear through follower missions.
They wanted to move people from LFR to Normal without actually understanding why people do LFR over doing Normal so what they tried didn't work at all. Especially since they also gutted the "queuing" systems that made Flex work so well in MoP.

Well i mean if we get Legion in mar-apr like the timeline seems to suggest, that'd be an 18 month long expansion, which would be about on par in terms of "raid tiers per month"
I'm starting to miss WoW guys, but I know that I don't like the game that WoW is right now. Talk me out of it.
I'm playing right now after only resubscribing for the Hallow's End stuff, and honestly, I'm even getting tired of that. And I actually liked WoD a lot; I'm just tired of WoW right now.
Thanks guys, I needed that. Being reminded that it's going to be another forever until legion drops doesn't hurt either.

Yeah unless you're already playing and/or have concrete in-game (legendary ring, a certain mount, etc.) goals you wish to achieve prior to Legion, do not resubscribe. I am actually considering unsubscribing until closer to Legion's release.
I've been funding my sub with my massive gold pile that'll be worthless once I decide to quit anyway. At this point Legion will have to do something huge to keep me on board.

I'm definitely glad I bought all my WoW tokens back when they were around 20k, because they're up to about 32k now. I wonder if the price will be that high or higher come Legion? I've enjoyed not spending real money on this game since April.
yeah, the cost of tokens is only slowly inching toward what you can make monthly with a couple of maxed out garrisons; I'm trying to decide if I think they'll go down in price post-legion or if I assume the inflation train will keep on chugging. Can't decide whether to buy five or six now or just wait.

I've got 9 tokens banked on an alt at the moment. I might buy one more before my subscription ends again, but we'll see. 9 is probably plenty.

Depends on whether Blizz throws money at us in Legion as easily as they did in WoD. They might very well decide to ease back on that.

Token prices will probably nosedive a bit either right prior to legion or right as it launches just due to upswing in resubs trying to buy gold to kit out demon hunters/what not then start inflating back up pretty sharply.

I don't think the price will change that much, though. The current price modifying system seems to be set for gradual adjustment over long period of time so if there is a sudden spike in demand followed by a fast decline it might not produce a sharp price drop.
ingame economy works totally different over there though, so it's hard to really compare (also they've been at ~80k on asian realms for the last while)
europe's are about twice the price of the U.S.', although they've been rising more slowly as the expansion has worn on (U.S. token price has increased almost twice as fast in relative terms over the last 3m)

I don't think anybody will still be playing if they let it go until fall 2016; they have to know that too. It's one thing to take an end of expansion break but I'm sure their retention numbers go to shit if people take nine months to a year off.
my bet would be on april or may, although they'll have to start the beta real soon to make that

No, they're not shared, but the 500 badge quest is by far and away the largest badge-per-hour gain you can get so if you have multiple 100s you can spread across all of them the toy buying duty. For example, my alt just bought me the 1500 badge toy from doing three dungeons across the last three events while my main is still saving up for the Wrath mount (the TBC mount is garbage and I don't plan on going for it).

I have a feeling nothing other than late summer 2016

That and my mount collecting goals
On a side note, got my mage his ring, so I'm done even looking at LFR until they put in valor again.
you're exhibiting signs of stockholm syndrome and that doesn't make a video game fun to play
Do what I'm doing, and spend most of your time soloing old content for transmog gear and old achievements/mounts

They have said soo many times they don't want a 12-18 month final tier. August would be 14 months of Hellfire Citadel.
They said the same thing soo many times when MoP started, and yet we had ~14mos of Siege.

I just do one on two or three characters for the 500 badge quest.
This is a very good idea. Is the currency shared or something?
No but since toys and mounts are account wide I just dedicate two characters for saving for each mount and a third for toys.
I know they are adding dungeons, but as far as I know no new mounts have been revealed for timewalking vendors.
