Current SC2 Playable Mods
You've arrived at the official Penny Arcade StarCraft 2 discussion page. Here we discuss everything from the game, the races, balance issues, tournaments, and the culture (K-Pop, etc). Be warned, this thread moves quickly, especially when live events are happening.
StarCraft 2: Heart of the Swarm has released worldwide! Go buy your copy today and help Kerrigan destroy the Terran and Protoss menace.
How to play with PA people.
1) Log into Battle.net and join the group Penny Arcade (on the NA realm). We all hang out there. Chat, 1v1 lobbies, and team shenanigans are always going on!
2) Sign up for a replay site such as gamereplays.org or drop.sc. This is a site where you can upload your replays. The perfect way to share your replays with the thread and get advice on how to get better. Gamereplays lets you post the cool banner that you frequently see on the internets and drop.sc lets you upload replays without having to create a new account.
3) Register with the PA SC2 1v1 Ranking site. Sign up for this awesome site to see where you stand amongst fellow PA members. Remember, this is important in the nurturing and expanding of your e-peen. Add yourself by clicking on [Manage Characters] on the top right side.
4) Sign up for the PA mumble page. Sign up if you want to chat with fellow PA users during games or watching tournaments. Thanks to Exoplasm for hosting the service and providing the step-by-step process for installing mumble.
Where can I watch some good tournaments and streams?

I don't mean strategy, I don't mean a real game, I mean you send disruptor orbs at my army and I learn hgow the FUCK to live against them so I don't lose another game where I'm 3/3 against 2/0 and up a base because I can't fucking control my army against those things
fucking infuriating to lose to this bullshit because I can't click a fucking mouse
edit - honestly I am annoyed it's even possible. that shit does a lot of damage. but somehow I couldn't split right and I could never not once out of 20 times could never ever click the fucking orb to stop the shot. un fucking real.
Zergs don't try to focus it down, they just run from it a-la marine splitting.
It moves pretty darn fast.

edit - haha I google about the disruptor just seeing if anyone says focusing is correct and it seems no, always split is the right answer so I'll just accept that and do it better.
but every. google. hit. is someone whining about the design of sc2 and the disruptor. not saying it's hard, not asking how to better handle it, whining about how the design is bad and a problem for the game. at least people are consistent.

I mean, I'm sure I was being too greedy and making the wrong units but I had all my scvs from that base and every unit I had at the nydus. stim.
29 minutes in. I'd say Zanester picked a bad place to put it, but it still almost worked.
there's a bunch of reasons that could go differently for bomber even thought he scout it and surrounded the nydus. nuts.

@Variable
My point is though, SHOULD you focus the nydus? If your army's already there, and we now know that Nydus is a lot stronger (can't be attacked before spawning / will have a train of healers coming out first), is it better to position your army around it but instead of focusing it down, letting the army just melt the zerg that are bottle-necking in?
The rate of zerg that can come out isn't slow but it's still bottle-necked. Heck, you can even start 2 quick supply depots next to it to force their pathing away from your army so your units, which have far better range and concave, will just obliterate them?

They changed it so you couldn't kill a Nydus with workers. I'd rather they just gave them 5 armor, that would octuple their effective hp against workers.
Dunno, it can't hurt at all.

I swear that I saw it happen and did it once. but I've given up on it entirely now.
if I imagined it I'd feel very weird but I guess stranger things have happened. could have just gotten tricked by a stray zealot twice.
I guess I should feel better in a way
but also somewhat insane
I don't have the timing of it down which of course is part of the problem to begin with, so it makes sense
What was that (or all those) horribly long MLG games?
I recall one got past 1.5 hours and even the casters were just trying to come up with crap to say it was so damn boring.
Terran lifting buildings to inaccessible places is the stupidest thing ever.

tvt I feel about as good although I did win against a mech player which I've always done badly against.
tvp is so all over the place. it's hard but I can't nail down why. but I've gotten it less in the last couple of days (not too many games played) so it's hard to say. been seeing lots of heavy all ins and lots of air play on streams.

I love being able to warp an army in anywhere on the map.
Karax I can see being the Protoss' Swann basically, Stukov I can see having infected marines and other type units.
Step 1:Set all gateways to the teleport gateway (forget the name).
Step 2: Build 4 Gateways early on
Step 3: Profit!
This way you can have a wandering army taking care of campaign related stuff, and if your base gets attacked you can warp in a bunch of Dragoons and clear everything out.
