Him and Liefeld should form an "overly protective of our really uninteresting versions of cool characters" club. Liefeld hates all the good versions of Deadpool.

Apparently there's a story behind it that makes him not as much of an ass, I guess?

The story goes that when Frank Miller created Elektra Natchios, he had an agreement with Marvel editorial that once he killed her off, she'd be dead forever. You see, his intent was to kill her off from the very beginning, and he wanted that to stick. And he did kill her off, after a bit over a year.

But then she was resurrected within a year, apparently with the promise that she wouldn't be used in Daredevil again. Which actually did stick for over ten years, but then she got brought back into Daredevil in the 90s.

That's about when Frank Miller got pissy about it, because that's not his character at that point, because his Elektra died back in 83.

So this seems to be an extension of that.

Hell, Stan Lee actively endorsed this guy, which is about as far from original Peter Parker as you can get.

(Also, Marvel's official website has pages to host that show, but the videos were removed because they apparently violated YouTubes ToS?)

    whooooo liiiiikes character redesiiiigns!?!?

These are the new civilian outfits for the upcoming Power Rangers BOOM series and I'm completely in love with them!

Its a really nice modernization across all fronts: Keep the colors without the bad 90s fashion or need to have EVERYTHING they wear be the same color, and bring through a TON of personality just based on clothing.

Kimberly and Zack are super stylish, Tommy has his hilariously on the nose wrist bands perfect for your 'not really bad bad boy', Billy looks uptight without looking like a complete nerd stereotype.

I'm especially in love with Trinis outfit which manages to convey her serious buttoned up nature but still look good

And oh man... Jason. Jason looks so great and also I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD GET A VARSITY LETTER IN KARATE

I'm sorry to bring this back up but I've been trying to figure out who that Jason reminds me of all day

    Dude is teenage Bruce Wayne

I always found it kind of funny that the floating head guy wanted teenagers with "attitude", and the teenagers they chose are super nice and selfless and tolerant and donate time to charities.

The instant they get teenagers with actual attitude, they put them in a cage until they can find a way to de-attitude them.

Margaret Atwood is writing a comic for Dark Horse called Angel Catbird, in tandem with a Canadian conservation charity
“I have concocted a superhero who is part cat, part bird. Due to some spilled genetic Super-Splicer, our hero got tangled up with both a cat and an owl; hence his fur and feathers, and his identity problems,” said Atwood.

The acquiring editor also calls it a mix of Eisner's Spirit, Morrison's Animal Man and Ryan North's Squirrel Girl

Having read Secret Wars #8 I'm now fully certain
Hickman just doesn't get Thanos. Thanos isn't such an egoist that he'd walk right up to someone with the power of the entire universe and thumb his nose at them, when he knows damn well it'd be a cinch for that person to murder the shit out of him without even a second thought.

Like, Thanos either does stuff to impress Mistress death or fill his own self interest. Getting futilely rubbed out by God isn't going to help with either of those.

Thanos is many thing; but he's not an idiot.

pages late, but a small addendum to the Red Wolf conversation.

Issue 1 starts with "Behold! The true and incredible story of Red Wolf, the Cheyenne who travelled alone across the desert." Wasn't his tribe supposed to be made up? Or is Cheyenne not a tribe? I hope that isn't a dumb question.

He mentions having once wielded the Infinity Gauntlet, and been god of the universe, so I imagine it's 616 Thanos.

    Based on his history
I'd say Thanos would be much more likely to join up with God Doom and later undermine and betray him than to do what he did.

Honestly, the way he went out is SO chump-like that I'm wondering if Hickman isn't faking people out and it was a decoy or something.
