At the end of the month, my wife has her annual company Christmas party. This year's theme is Star Trek. She's not into Star Trek in the slightest, so she doesn't care what she wears, but I am a huge Trek fan, and I want to come up with a pretty cool costume. I have a beard and mustache (albiet very shortly trimmed) so the obvious choice is to go as Riker, but that seems to be the easy way out. Plus, I have somewhat built up a reputation for crazy hijinks with regards to my costume that I have to live up to (e.g. - last year was "Dress to the nines" and me and the husband of one of my wife's coworkers dressed up in the orange and blue suits from Dumb and Dumber).
I was hoping to go as a character that would really resonate with true Trek fans like my wife's boss, or even somehow go as a non-humanoid character like the Crystalline Entity, or something equally as absurd. I'm at a loss for what to do.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Riker and the androgynous woman he got brain wiped.
Daughter and son-in-law of Kamin from The Inner Light.
While she has the body to pull off that costume, I do not.
Besides, I don't have curly hair.
In this line of thought, with the beard, you can pretty much do "any character" and "Mirror Universe any character."
Tier 5 nerds may criticize you for not going goatee for it, though.
This is awesome. I can't believe I didn't think of it.
Now, how the hell do I replicate the outfits?
