There are also a number of guides for setting up attractive castles for people to visit. These basically come in 2 flavors
1. No lilith, and a team consisting of a single very weak member (usually someone you benched early) placed very close to the south entrance. This setup allows people to finish a battle with you on their first turn by attacking this unit.
2. A large team of your most powerful units, all without any weapons in their inventories, the throne unoccupied, and the spawns off to the sides of the castle. This setup allows people to seize your castle in 2-3 turns, and then buy your skills for reduced prices. Handy if you've got a particular dude with a unique or powerful skill thanks to a class change you did (for example, anyone with the DLC class skills is a rare prize, as people basically only get to use these items once, so finding say, a niles with speedtaker is great if you really wanted niles to have that ability, but wanted your Leo to have it too)
It's important to note that once youve set up the teams with all the items unequipped, you can then save that team, and go back to playing the game normally, so long as you dont update your team again, it'll stick.

Conquest 19 was the most straightforward map so far. There are good storyline reasons for the lack of enemy variety, which the game tried to mix up with varying enemy skills and the illusion gimmick, which would have felt like total bullshit on a harder stage. Glad I recruited Velouria beforehand, anti-beast units are pretty much guaranteed delete buttons here.
does anyone know if it's possible to visit jp version castles?
i stumbled across one with ballastician/witch class characters, which shouldn't be available otherwise, so I'm wondering if it's ok to buy skills from them
Aptitude can only be obtained by Mozu and the child characters through having her as a mother. If you see any other unit with Aptitude it's a hack, and even if you get the skill on other characters, it doesn't work for them anyway and won't give them an actual 10% bonus.
Any good pairing for the Birthright kids? So far i have KanaXSelkie and ShigureXMitama
KanaXSelkie is too cute!
I'm replaying Awakening while waiting for Revelations. I really missed Chrom and Robin.
ShiroxSophie is aaaadoraaaable
Did I do this? I have already forgotten. I might have done. I really liked Shiro. He was a good character and a decent fighter in my unit.
Although by the end game I was walking through all the maps in under 2 minutes anyway, regardless of who I chose...
Xander Birthright end game spoiler:
I spent like 10 long minutes carefully pairing everyone up for Xander's fight.
Saw the objective was to defeat Xander, and wondered, 'is that all?'
Walked Corrin up to him and defeated Xander in one shot, and under 5 seconds battle time. Yes, that was all.
So far playing Awakening on Hard has been super easy, hm. Maybe I'll play Conquest after all. I'm still playing casual, though, I have no desire (yet) to fool around with trying to protect the mages.

I did the same thing in my birthright game. I was actually pretty mad at Xander at the time. I still kind of am.
My shiro wound up being the kind of unit you'd dread seeing on the enemy ranks, but was sort of ineffectual in your own. He somehow wound up with 3 different seal stat skills, so everything that fought him lost like 6 defense, res, and speed. I briefly debated making him a ninja just to add the shuriken debuffs into that mix, but never found an opponent worth debuffing that heavily.
Ooh yes, play Conquest! I am totally having a blaaaaaaaaast doing it, Janson

I did the Xander chapter just by fighting him with the avatar first, had a good cry, then redid it by holding back the avatar until I cleared the map, for the experience points. He waits patiently there...

I nearly reloaded, too, for the same reason! But it was nearing midnight and I just wanted to push through to the end by then.
Just finished Birthright and am downloading Conquest now. I'm interested to see how different it is. Birthright kind of dragged on in the middle; the ending redeemed it, but...
I don't think it helped that I had buyer's remorse with marrying Jakob. He was so mean to his kid oh my GOD.
I'm thinking Conquest might be a bit less formulaic in terms of plot, hopefully, based on the setup!
Upon first meeting Dwyer I was like, ugh, he seems awful and how the heck is he Jakob's son?
And after a few supports I was all oh my goodness you poor soul you're 10 x the person your father is and also you have some quite sage advice for others, and some good insights into your father

Dwyer is a total sweetheart! Jakob is just such an asshole to him. Which I guess you could maybe see coming if you had gotten any supports for Jacob with any of the other characters first, but I wound up S-ranking him with the Avatar before getting any supports with anyone else.
Yeah, although I didn't S-rank Jakob, I did marry him off (to Sakura, he's decent to the princesses) and obtain Dwyer before doing the rest of Jakob's supports, so it was a surprise to me, too.
For that reason I looooved Takumi's support with Jakob; the B conversation is hilarious.
I do appreciate his character. Because he's a butler and because of his appearance and how he's totally devoted to Corrin, I definitely expected him to be the reverent servant type. This was born up by the first few supports I did, too. So for him to reveal his true character over the course of the game was both refreshingly surprising and was a good reminder to me not to judge a book by its cover.

You also get points for people visiting you! So as long as SE++ FErs keep visiting each other, we'll all get to the final bonuses all that more quickly.
EDIT: On second though I wonder if the Battle/Visit points are a thing that "carry over" or are shared.
Like if I loaded up my Birthright save, and visited a castle and got more points, then saved and loaded up my Conquest save, if those new points would be immediately shown in my Conquest Data as well, or if when I started a new game in Conquest I just happened to carry over how many Battle/Visit points I had in Birthright at that moment.

It's saved to your system data, so if you switched between saves, people would get a different castle every time you update your information on a different save, but all your visit and battle points would remain for both.

corrin's supports so far with Felicia have been a bit lame, despite my still being a fan of her bangs and noises
"felicia you are a bad maid. chin up"
"i'm only happy if I've made you happy! that is my only goal in life! gosh I'm a bad maid"
Okay but Felicia falls off a ladder and Corrin catches here and it is adorable and melts my heart.
I mean, I've got Corrin and Felicia listed as a "High" match on my shipping chart and that can't be wrong, right?
Corrin/Silas isn't bad! A little on the dull side, but his S-support and post-marriage lines are sweet. And Sophie/Kana are an appropriate sibling duo.
"Lucked out" on this one. I understimated how quickly Xander could cut across the map, and it cost me Kagero and Takumi, but then he killed Corrin too and got me a game over. I should've thanked my good fortune and made a beeline for the exit, but I tried to stretch out and get the treasure first. Takumi took it from the thief's corpse, but not before a trio of enemies took down Oboro.

does anyone have advice for dealing with azama's room in conquest 11, beyond "send camilla in to kill everyone and take no damage"

I'm pretty much of the opinion that if someone only has supports with the avatar they may as well not exist and its really frustrating they keep doing it

What @SilverWind did was she went in from the northern stairway so she popped out right next to Azama and then beat the Hell out of him with no chance for hexing

I forget what staff does he have? Just send your fattest booty unit in there to lure one or two close to your steps and pick them off
Abuse the hell out of the stairs because there is no time limit or reinforcements on that chapter

Oh does he cover the whole room? I thought there was a little corner by the steps he couldnt hit
It should show his staff range in green, and then you should be able to check the ranges of individual attackers to see if there is one square that only one of them can hit
