I don't want him to become president but I need to see how Trump remodels the inside of the White House and AF1.

just saying party officials and elected representatives aren't pulling the strings here, so why does it matter if they are attached or not

well they are pulling the strings, just not in that meeting

the actual GOP rules commission meets next week (it might be this week, forgot when I read it), and expect to hear some fun stuff coming out of that meeting as to what they plan on doing, if anything about Trump

Someone in a d and thread said its kind of funny how the GOP Establishment is so confused and bewildered by Trump

They've spent at least three decades turning the GOP into a party of corporate xenophobic bullies

If trump loses in a contested convention, won't that greatly increase he odds of him running third-party?

There is no way that's legal

I'm sure it's technically legal in the moment, but any claims of a breach would be really easy to get struck down in court for being unreasonable.

Yeah, I'm not sure it's illegal, strictly speaking, it is however, completely invalid.

I think the GOP would rather lose the election than see trump elected because he will destroy their brand for a generation

There is a school of thought that holds that he is not insane enough to attempt an independently financed general election bid, where he will face impossible odds.

Asking for favors during the election in return for a seat in office is absolutely illegal

Yeah, I mean conservative doesn't have to mean fascist thug, or Theo fascist loon or crooked bully or mouthpiece of the Koch brothers or guy who literally believes in ancient aliens building the pyramids as really fancy grain silos

    Does it?

    Please, prove me wrong

I prefer the school of thought that holds "don't try to predict what will happen with Donald Trump's campaign because the one thing that's consistent about it is he keeps proving people wrong".

My secret hope is that Carson somehow recorded Trump saying that to him but there's no way things could go that well

That would be a display of savvy and foresight from Carson sufficient to convince me he'd been replaced by a pod person.

No like he bumped the record app on his phone by accident when he put it away befor talking to trump and didn't notice until later

And then he furnishes it to the media because he doesn't realize it is illegal and he just thinks everybody doesn't believe him and he wants to prove it because it's such a good deal for him

Nope...not really. He was a giant racist back in his teenage days but still had a lot of minority friends. Now he's probably more centrist I guess, and not a skinhead. I saw a lot of things from him supporting marriage equality when we were having that discussion as a country last year. Also he's never smoked weed.

It honestly scares me how much of the voting population trends toward Christopher Dorner style half-informed crazy.

Look at this. He's just all over the place.

It's real early, but Trump is beating Rubio 2 to 1 in Florida. That's so sad/terrifying.

Regardless of your reason for doing so anybody who want both Sanders and Trump to win can't be basing their feelings on policy.

Were people not expecting Trump to win Florida?

I mean the polls have had him ahead 2:1 for weeks.

The only competitive race today I think is Ohio.

    Still voted today.

Felt noticeably better walking out of the voting place.

    Democracy invigorated the soul.

Also DQ had free cones today.

Trump has underperformed his polling in some states, and that was the idea in Florida

Chris Mathews suggested a Clinton/Kasich ticket.

I'd rather vote for running a car engine in a closed garage.
