Been amusing myself with doing professional maps, got 18/20 (enough for 10/10 mastery) on Paris, Sapienze and Marrakesh now, and 13/20 in Bangkok.
Getting rather annoyed by the lack of saving in Bangkok, way too many cameras, noticers and getting rid of the recordings is a pain, still, apart from long setup times it's ok.
Yes, but that's a separate thing.
The next one is rumored to be the first one on the night version of Sapienza. Previously they were waiting on releasing any Elusives for the bonus maps until the full release.
Are there any details on that?
I tried to set up a trap for him
and instead used my screwdriver to screw around with a wire that was in a puddle
electrocuting myself and instantly failing the mission in the process
Got the disguise, cleared the area of couple onlookers, attended briefing, and when the training starts, i wait for battering ram to hit the car and then start shooting the dummies.
Ecxept i guess i was second or two early, and the game decided to have npc's shoot me.
I like the increased difficulty, but sometimes the lack of markers and extra noticers are just stupid.
Like this, how am i to know when to start shooting if there are no markers in place and following npc's instructions is not going to actually work? And how do the npc's at the door know i am not burges?
Also people seeing through walls, doesn't happen often, but it does.
They still get alerted though and start looking around with guns drawn, but as long as you are crouching behind table, you can quickly run out of the room and it does not count as being spotted.
I pretty much don't do it unless it's for a specific challenge.
I keep expecting 47 to go 'Wait, I can just cut out the middle man by shooting them in the head! What a time saver!'
Because i spend lot more time waiting for npc patrol loops to finish than i do hitting things.
Especially on professional where main difficulty spike seems to come from randomly added extra guards you need to wait for.
sorry kanye
Next season there's gonna be a Fyre Festival episode, right?
Festival
Nightclub
Cruise Ship
Airport
Boxing Match
Nightclub and Cruise ship were sort of covered in prior games though
yaaaaaaaaay
My first successful elusive, go me! :P
No idea where the 2nd non-target death came from. But on the way out I was just out of patience so this guard was lured and had a kitchen knife thrown into his head for his clothes.
He just stuck around, did nothing, and was surrounded by guards.
Eventually i just got bored waiting and threw an explosive at him and left.
So I shot him in the head and ran away. Explosive may have been a better idea.
I managed to shift his behavior, but I had to reset a couple of times to learn how to exploit it.
Then you just need to learn which drink he'll take a swig from, and pay it a visit in the caterer's outfit (I did it before I killed the lights, once I'd worked out the pattern. Get the disguise, dose the water, get a new disguise to get on set, sabotage the lights, then just wait for events to take their course.
This also gave me plenty of time to go wipe the security tapes, so yay.

Square seem to have this thing about anything that doesn't do Final Fantasy levels of sales.
Seems like they are going All In on their Marvel colab, which does make a decent amount of sense, but Hitman was probably their biggest critical success in years. I can forgive them Deus Ex, or at least understand it better as that game, while I enjoyed it a lot, didn't make a huge splash.
They make the game of the generation and this is the thanks they get?
Because that's gonna take a lot of progress with it if it goes down.
I saw an article that said IO was pretty happy with its sales.
Unfortunately it seems SE thought otherwise.
It's also plausible that Squenix Japan wanted to shift the focus from FFXV underperforming onto one of their less egregiously underperforming Western subsidiaries, and I/O was the only one left that put out a game this past year and that wasn't already committed to their Marvel collaboration.
At least I/O is independent again, instead of getting shuttered outright like you'd see with most developers in a situation like this. Hopefully they end up making a game that people want to play, like a followup on the lessons they learned making the new Hitman, and not something like Kane & Lynch 3 (it'll totally be K&L3).
